Help!! My head won’t fit on my body LOL

That title though, I swear we say the weirdest things in this hobby XD
Not sure what size are you looking for but maybe you can look up these bodies

Gem of Doll 1/3 Boy Body Ver.I (61cm) Neck size: 9cm
Doll Zone 62cm Boy Body (B60-005) Neck size: 9.3cm

I have the Loongsoul 62cm boy body, and it would probably work well. The neck is about 9.5cm, shoulders are listed as 13cm. I think their 68cm body also has a neck that's 10cm or under if you want a taller boy. I don't have one that size, but have their similar 73 cm body and have found both bodies from them to be stable and good posers!

I think the Ringdoll RGM4 body also has a neck of about 9.5 cm, shoulders are 14cm according to the listing. I do find the one i have isn't very stable, especially once he has shoes on- I think the ankles might not be the best engineered, but I think they wire all their bodies now, so it might work ok.

There are probably a few different ways to measure the neck opening, but I'd probably just measure across it and look of a formula to figure out the circumference based on that. I think if it's within a half cm either way, it should fit on a body fine. You may want to look up what the original body's measurements were for the head you got, so you can compare shoulder widths too though. Too narrow or too wide shoulders could look off even if it fits the neck perfectly.

 

The Resinsoul Cen body might fit, too. Not sure about the color, though. But they can color-match.
Or just the old 1/3 boy body. That one is slightly more muscled. They are both in the link.

Angel of Dream has a body with a 9 cm neck. That's pretty close at least.

Personally, I would probably still go with Resinsoul. They have great customer service and offer a lot of extra things. Two-headed dolls, four-armed dolls, any color, cyclops eye and so on and so forth, never a problem. Making a neck thinner should be a piece of cake. And they never charge much extra.

Some of the newer realistic sculpts look small for the doll irl for me (I'm just too used to the old school over sized Volks heads...Elf doll, Migi Doll, custom house, cp delfs for example). Is there a thread for that sculpt or that company? The migidoll discussion thread was a big help when I was deciding on alternative body options.
If not maybe make a post saying in search of body suggestions for that head?

Seeing some owner picks of how they've styled the doll could help a lot in figuring this out. I know from earlier that you hope for him to look like a particular character. So it's the right head, just need some more images to get you headed in the right body direction.
And THEN you'll get to figure out what clothes are available that fit the body & the character!

Wish you could find a meetup or at least some bjd folks nearby irl to compare your head with various size bodies to figure out what direction go. I bought a new head a couple years ago because her features reminded me of my favorite Elfdoll. But when the head arrived, after waiting on production time, I couldn't begin to adjust to the proportions! It was intended as an SD doll, 63 cm girl I think, but to me seemed petite msd maybe but with mature features...since I really have too many dolls already it was easy to donate her to a fund raiser raffle. But I look forward to seeing how you solve the challenge.

 

Going by neck size, I think Kids Sky 60cm has the smallest I can remember, the listing says it's 8.5cm. I don't have any experience of Kid Sky bodies so no idea how they are to handle or how accurate the measurements are.

There are a few bodies with 9cm neck size like 2D 63cm and Doll Leaves V3 or True Love 54.6cm and Gem of Doll V1 but if the head's neck is only 8.2 then you'll need to do some sanding even with these!

Unfortunately there aren't many 60cm male bodies with neck sizes under 9.5cm, I was also on the hunt for a smaller 60cm male body for a smaller head while back. I did take a look at 50cm range dolls but found the head looked too large on them so with a 20cm head I think it might the same issue. (I ended up using ALM 60cm but the neck is 9.5cm so too big for your needs)

 

Hmm, i think the feeple 60 motion boy is in that range, but I don't know if you can buy just the bodies for Fairyland dolls. And the height is a little below 60cm. The Senior Delf Muse might work too, but It might be too close to the max of what could fit.

 

Not sure if it's any help- but I own a Wei JiuJiu head. I have the head on a Dollmore Zaoll body. HERE is a (bad) photo of my girl on the DM Zaoll body- the boy doll next to her is a Joydoll Lai on a DM Theo 60cm body. I personally find that 60cm bodies (both female and male ones) are way too big for the Wei head- but of course that's a matter of taste...

 

Oh, I was checking something out and came across another body, Evantasy 61cm which has a 8.5cm neck, i'll pop it in the thread in case anyone else is looking for suggestions!

 

I found another one. It's also 61 cm, but the neck fits.

Hmm, hard to tell ...just from the first link it should work. But when he has a wig on it might look too big.
Do you know the diameter of your head ...when you look at it from the front? Without the ears?

Yeah, it looks too big. I did another one, with the Resinsoul bodies. (I have the 1/3 boy body here, so I could get the exact measurements for the shoulders, hehe. I think the 60-62 cm range isn't so bad, after all.

 

The one on the left is the Cen body, the newer one. It has the new joint system Resinsoul started using a couple of years ago. And definitely the better poser. There are some body reviews on Youtube.
