Help me find a similar wig

Jan 21, 2011

    1. I am sorry if I am posting this in the wrong section, I browsed the whole site and I this seems the most logical choice xD;;

      I would like to know if other sites sells wigs similar to the "jamaica dancer" from dollmore? Dollmore.net :: Everything for Doll & more
      the unremovable hairband kinda turned me off from it xD and it is a bit small anyway. I would need one in size 9-10

      thank you! ^_^

    2. I don't know much about wigs, but I can see Leekeworld's LM-031 being pretty easy to style like that if you took out the ribbon and brushed it back with a good wig-friendly gel (I'm pretty sure they don't usually permanently attach stuff like ribbons to the wig)
      the crinkles are a little bit softer, I think, but leeke also has this wig, which has slightly tighter ones that are a bit curlier than the ones in the Dollmore wig. Curls and crinkles lose their shape over time and with heavy brushing, so that one would soften up after a while and match the one you want better, so that might be the better choice...

      That's just what I found on Leeke, I haven't gone through any other wig dealer's selections in detail. Hopefully that's a little helpful, though.

    3. I thought about the leeke wigs, and the second one you mentionned would have been the PERFECT style. but I need a black on D:

    4. I know there are people out there who do custom dye jobs for doll wigs, I can't find anything with google on how they do it but I'm dead tired and didn't search too hard, so maybe an awake person would find more XD I've also heard of using acrylic paint to dye wigs, but I'm not sure how well that works

    5. Actually sharpie markers work better then acrylic paint.....there are many tutorials online for doing it with synthetic wigs for people. The same process can be used for doll wigs also since they're the same material.

    6. but this won't damage the curls?

    7. Really? She wants the wing in black. Black sharpie + resin = BAD. In face coloring any wig with any color sharpie has the potential to stain the doll.

    8. yeah so that's gonna be a problem .__.
      in the worst case, i'll SEW my own wig!

    9. Well I have a suggestion. The wig kind of looks like mohair. There are several really wonderful people in the market place that make custom sized mohair wigs, and the ones I am thinking of (1mim, tinybear) can custom dye the wig to any color. Have a look at those =) I also have a tinybear wig I could take a picture of if you want one =)
