Materials Help?Looking for LaDoll Clay in Canada: ALSO REFERENCE WEBSITES FOR AIR DRY CLAYS

Jan 20, 2006

    1. yes I am looking for a website that sells LaDoll Clay in preference a Canadian shop (Save on the posibility of getting charged custom and help a fellow canadian with his or her business)

If you have other sites where they sell it please do add it also so that people looking for it in the State also have a reference.

      Thank you

EDIT: sites that sell La Doll via internet.

      CANADA SITES:
      NONE YET

      US SITES:

Polymer Clay Express: Thanks you Travesty:
      http://www.polymerclayexpress.com/airdryclays.html

      The Clay Alley
      http://www.clayalley.com/airdry.htm

      MiniWorld:
      http://www.miniworlddolls.com/CSClays2.htm

      KOREAN SITES:
      I'm looking into it.

      Not really la Doll but maybe something we can use to make dolls perhaps? This site has recipes for making Cold Porcelain clay. I might look into trying a few recipes next week or so. Except for the one with sugar in it... I think those are for making sweets O.o;;

      OTHER AIR DRY CLAY

I just bought some clay by a company called LYRA Keramiplast http://www.lyra.de It needs to be kneaded with wet hands, air dries and can be sanded, drilled and sawed like wood once it hardens. You can also glue dry parts to new moist clay by wetting the dry clay first. I might give it a try this weekend

    2. That Canadian one is pretty expensive...
And I can't find La Doll clay there either.

Wonder where I could find Apoxie Sculpt in Canada...

    3. In canada you can find Milliput which is an apoxy clay. Look for it in your Hobby shop when they do miniature trains and model cars. Milliput is a two part epoxy clay like Apoxy, just mix part A in a blue bag with part B in a clear bag.

    4. Try contacting the makers of Apoxie Sculpt via their website www.avesstudio.com to find out about Canadian distributors. I use it all the time. I've also used Milliput, but I am not fond of it. Apoxie has a longer working time, and is non-toxic (I think I eat a lot of it inadvertently). I bought 4 or 5 tub-sets of the largest size, and froze all but one set, which I still haven't used up. Because I am in Australia it turned out to be more cost effective to buy a larger amount directly from Aves Studio than to buy from the Aussie distributor.
