Specific Doll Help Identifying Tiny Girls - SOLVED :)

Dec 20, 2024

    1. I was recently browsing Taobao looking for clothing and saw the photo on a listing and immediately fell in love. I believe they are YOSD but I could be wrong.

It seems like doll 1 and 3 are the same face sculpt but with only this picture is hard for me to tell. I'm specially interested in the ones in the far left (yellow clothing) and far right (pure white) but IDs for any of them are welcome. Thanks in advance!

    2. Might be ADVillage? Some of the dolls have similar faces.

    3. Probably not them, but they made me think of Dollits yosd.

The one in the pink wig reminds me of Huajing Doll Eva.

    4. The vibes are definitely similar but on a quick glance it doesn't seem to be it. The Loli sculpt is really similar to the one in pink hair though.

I had never heard of Dollits before, the sculpts are so cute! I can definitely see the similarities with Eva.

Coincidentally I was browsing Xiaohongshu today and found the account of the dolls owner. The whole app is in mandarin so I am trying to decipher the sculpt names from the hashtags in the post.
The doll in yellow/brown clothing and the one in blue are the Smile Yomi sculpt from Guard Love!
The one with the pink wig is the sculpt "Cloud" from Jiao Yin BJD Studio /颗小脚印.
The one in pink clothing is the sculpt "Little Love" from Jiao Yin BJD Studio/颗小脚印. Their xiaohongshu ID is Jybjdstudio.
I'm not too sure about the sculpt names since they were acquired by translating it literally.

    5. Hi @croissant ~ just a note for the forum, we only use proper terminology on DoA. We want to respect the brands and we don't want to confuse other members, this is especially important in the Marketplace.

Volks makes Super Dollfie so any terminology using SD belongs to them. Much like Fairyland makes Fee, Soom makes Gems and Luts makes Delfs. So unless a doll is made by Volks, we do not use their brand terminology for other doll sizes.

So in this instance you would ask to identify a group of Tiny dolls since the brand was unknown~ :aangel:

    6. Thank you for the correction! Outside of DOA I've seen people using the terms interchangeably so I thought it was OK.:doh I've changed the title as requested, sorry for any confusion that it might've caused!

    8. Yeah, you do see that a lot offsite and a lot of people don't realize that it's like calling all facial tissue's Kleenex or all sticky bandages Band-Aids. It makes sense to use it when you're asking about thing in a size range like, "I'm looking for YoSD-size companion for my doll" as it gets the idea across. Once you get into particular things, like clothing, being accurate will get you better results. For example, if you ask for MSD (Mini Super Dollfie) clothing when you actually have a Mini Fee, it would imply you want clothing for a mini doll - but actual MSD are chunkier than Mini Fee and the clothing isn't so interchangeable.

I do think that other brands would also prefer have their dolls named properly rather than having them all lumped in with the OG Volks.
