Hellooooo everyone~ You can call me Mallo! Im a little baby vtuber, I live in Japan, I stream on Twitch at Twitch.tv/mallomaru , and aside from dolls I collect anime figures(most money goes here), like playing games, and sewing($used to go here)~~~ Im also recently on DollDreaming forums, but want to try and be active here too as best I can~ I have been loving dolls from afar for yeeeears but never got to have some of my own, and finally now, I CAN! Im making some little 30cm dolls of Shinobu and Hachikuji from Bakemonogatari, and have plans for a few others already :3 Ive got a Xagadoll and ImomoDoll on the way and am sooooo excited about them!!! *-* One doll on my wishlist is Puyoo Kumako *o* I will get her one day! ,..but man, I really need to slow down on this doll shopping, I cant even afford the wigs hahaha -w- But with all these amazing sculpts...its so hard to resist. I used to DREAM of someday having a Volks DD but now there are just so many other nicer dolls. Im learning to do faceups too, and I love doing body blushing I hope to eventually be able to offer faceup services, making dolls clothes and so on, but for now my goal is to join sewing swaps and stuff like that!
Hi Welcome!! It sound like you have been really busy with your dolls! That is awesome! I love to do a lot of sewing for mine as well. I hope you post pictures of your creations. I enjoy seeing what other people sew for their dolls.
Welcome Buying the dolls clothing, wigs etc ends up being the most expensive part for me. They end up needing more clothes! I have started to sew for my dolls although I am not too great yet, It is my goal to be able to create most of the clothing myself.
Hello and welcome! I'll just gently cover the ears of my Volks DDs so they don't get hurt feelings... but I know what you mean. If you really love anime style dolls it's amazing how much variety there is now as opposed to way back. For some of us there are maybe too many choices. I also like doing most everything possible for my dolls: faceups, sewing, photography and such. It becomes a very satisfying all-consuming hobby. I hope you enjoy the forum!
Hi^^ Nice to meet you!! & welcome to doa!! I love sewing for my dolls too~ I wish I had a bit more time to make stuff these days >< I hope your new dolls arrive soon!!^^
Welcome! Puyoo Kumako has been on my wishlist for a while as well, the cute soft sculpting is very appealing
Thanks! I have been, mostly in the online browsing and planning haha I definitely will once I have more completed and nicer pictures! :3
Definitely the clothes and shoes seem to be the most expensive extras so far! It’s a good skill to be able to sew, but it takes a lot of practice to get good so don’t give up! Experiment a lot and don’t forget to make practice sample pieces ~
There are really too many choices !!! I end up thinking well.. I’ll just get them all! It started with “I’ll only buy 3 dolls max” and now my plans are at.. uh.. 7… Volks heads are still such wonderful options though, plus they offer in house modding services
Thank you!! it does take up a lot of time doesn’t it, I can sit and see ALL DAY without realizing ww it’s hard to find time
Right!! She’s just sooo cute, my Instagram suggestion feed is always flooded with cute dolls, I click to see what doll it is, it’s ALWAYS a puyoo www obviously I need one www
Hi! Oh Wow, you're so busy with such amazing things! I'd like to get into sewing to make dolls clothes eventually. I feel a little overwhelmed by the idea but I'm sure once I start it'll be okay, all trial and error.
Allll trial and error! It takes time to get good, watch and read tutorial and look at sewing patterns and inspect your own clothes to understand how things are put together! I love sewing, it’s definitely something I get lost in doing www
Lol I had to do the same. Dollfies are breathtakingly gorgeous in real life. They're also squishy and smell nice (when new). I do also collect Azones and I have to admit some of them are crazily popular these days. It's proving more difficult to find my Pureneemo grails than my Dollfie ones.
I still love the heads for sure! They are so cute and look so soft and nice in person, I’ve gone into volks many times just to look around, and see the ones on display in the used stores. It’s just gaps and the small hips that that turn me off. When I saw mdd mochi I was excited before I saw the hips not matching the legs at all, if they made more body type options for parts that’d be so great :,)
