Hello!

Hi there! I'm Lizzy (@SilverDawnArrow on everything) and I'm from just outside London, UK. I've been a long-time admirer of dolls but I've only just recently got involved in the hobby. I'm a very active member of the London lolita community and earlier this year someone came to a meetup with her MDD and we got to discussing dolls. I'd always held back on getting into dolls because lolita is already an expensive hobby, but with the Yen weak right now, I realised I could actually afford to get a doll myself! I quickly decided I wanted a Super Dollfie, and in May I got a secondhand Standard Model Mai who I have named Madeleine.
I don't think I'll be getting any more dolls for the time being, but I am definitely enjoying buying and making clothes for her! I consider myself an accomplished seamstress, so sewing clothes for her was a forgone conclusion. Figuring out the patterns at 1/3 scale is a fun challenge and I also have an excuse now to use all the cute fabrics I buy on a whim. So far I've made a bonnet to match a dress I bought and a summer dress with a tiny floral print and embroidery.
I'm most active on instagram and tumblr, but I'm a bit rubbish at remembering to post regularly. I usually have sewing progress in my instagram stories, alongside mine and my neighbour's cats. It's been a very long time since I last used a forum, so it's a bit of a learning curve figuring it all out again!
