Hello!

Jun 7, 2023

    1. Hello everyone!

First time on DoA and looking to get back into the hobby.
I bought a new Dollmore Liebe Klum in about 2010ish (hard to say because her CoA has no date on it) but never really did much with her.
Now over a decade later, I pondered selling her but instead caved and bought her some friends second-hand from Dollyteria - a 2004 fullset SD13 Isao Nanjo and a MSD girl with a Dollpa 21 SDC Toki head.
My second-hand dolls need a bit of love to clean them up but all the threads here have been really helpful.

Looking forward to having somewhere to talk bjds!

    2. Welcome! This really is a fantastic place, there's advice for just about anything that pops up. Glad to have you!

    4. Welcome! I understand to be out of the hobby for a while. I did it too!
So are they single jointed dolls that you have? I remember first getting into this hobby and my first few dolls were single joints, now they're double joints. I switched out their bodies for something newer. My first doll though is single jointed and I still love him. He's mellowed but still adorable!

    5. Welcome! This is a wonderful place to learn and to share enjoying your bjds! There are many opportunities to share projects if you like to craft with your dolls - sewing threads, knitting/crocheting, faceup critiques, and many others.

Dollmore Liebe Klum is a beautiful doll - I can see why you couldn't part with her! One of my favorite sculpts is Dollmore Mio - their dolls seem to have such beautifully-sculpted mouths and eyes.

It's great you have rescued some second-hand dolls, too. So far I've mostly purchased new, but I feel like cleaning an older doll would make their characters (if you give them characters) more real and also to help develop a feeling of affection for the doll.

Anyway, welcome again! I hope you enjoy your time here :)

    6. Welcome!

    7. Welcome back!! I'm also getting back into the hobby after a long time, hope you enjoy it more now!
