I'm quite a fan of dolls in general, and have been becoming more interested in making bjds every time I come across a well-made artist doll. I love to sculpt, sew, draw, paint, etc, so today I decided that once summer comes around, I'll be working on my first bjd. I had been perusing DoA in search of an msd doll, but I've now concluded that the challenge and gratification making a doll of my own greatly outweighs the near-instant gratification of buying one, so my 'doll savings' will go towards materials. I would love to try mold making as well. The whole process has always intimidated me, but if I get the hang of doll making, it would be exciting to be able to cast several bodies and make a few different heads and already have variety in my collection. It would also be fun to experiment with doll parts as part of art pieces and whatnot... Anyways, I'll stop here for now. I'm so happy to have come across this forum and am looking forward to becoming part of the community!
