Hi! I have been wanting to get my own doll since I was in highschool in the early 2010s. I was first taken in by dolls of BTS even before they made it to the US! I was so surprised they could be so realistic. Anyway, I've outgrown/have grown up with them so I am over wanting to acquire one of them. But I am an artist and I do appreciate the art, skill, and craftsmanship that goes into these dolls. Now that I'm an adult I can fulfill my dreams I chose the name "Taihai" to label my social media posts of my bjds because its a very unique term in Kyudo in which a team of archers work together to shoot in a very elegant and orchestrated manner. It literally means "a meeting of bodies". It represents posture, movement and etiquette in Kyudo. Lots of images below!! I will look into starting their own project threads once they become more than an idea... Spoiler: I recently got a second hand doll Bu Zhi to test if I would enjoy BJDs and boy I did! . I've settled on having max 3 for now, but absolutely be a perfectionist about it Spoiler: I'm waiting for a sculpt of Olin by YEE. BJD Studio to bring one of my paintings/characters to life: Spoiler: And I'm anxiously prepping myself to customize the blushing/faceup for my kyudo girl (my overlay on procreate): Spoiler: I want her to reflect a few of my paintings: So I have been non-stop practicing for weeks!
