Hello from NC!

Hi, I'm Illuser, or Illu, a completely new to the hobby collector from North Carolina. One of my friends dabbled in BJD a long time ago, and that's how I learned about them. It's taken until now to have the resources to buy my first doll, but as of this year I have three fullsets on preorder (Ringdoll's Ma Chao and Cao Pi, and Dream Valley's Phoenix). Right now I'm collecting clothes, wigs, and accessories for them while I wait for them to arrive.

My goal for this year is get more female dolls and fantasy dolls (like spiders, centaurs, fishtail, etc). And I'd like to start getting blanks to create my own characters as well.

Outside of dolls, I play a lot of games (mostly RPG, Genshin, and Otome for video games and MTG for card games), collect a lot of comics (mostly shoujo manga and webtoons), and I read a lot of asian web/light novels (including danmei).

I'm really excited to meet and learn from other doll owners as I prepare for my dolls to finally come home!

 

Right now I'm re-marathoning all the switch games: Amnesia, Collar x Malice, Piofiore, Olympia Soiree, etc. I'm excited for Radiant Tale later this year!

 

As soon as I saw the Merman, I almost regretted getting Phoenix, he's sooo gorgeous!! But over 3000 is way toooo much for my budget for one doll. I will have to look after him longingly from afar! Out of all the mer-people ones I've seen, he is far and away the most beautiful. I guess he will have to remain a "grail".

I wanted Doll Chatau's Lafal, his little delicate hooves looked so precious! But ended getting the harpy doll Phoenix instead. Doll Chateu themselves have pretty spider dolls, but I'm still looking into other makers as well.

I'd love to get fairy dolls or Demon dolls, in general. Gem of Doll has some really nice ones, and the new YanYan doll by Doll Zone is super cute!

Which final fantasy is your favorite? I've played 10, 12, 13, 14, and 15!
