Hello from Germany!

    1. I'm Kanra, m, 34 years old. Probably super out of place here, haha.
      I've always been interested in BJD since I was a teen, but back then the biggest issue was money; now the money is not a problem, but the whole BJD universe is vast and for a newbie like me it's actually difficult to get started. I don't intend to grow a huge collection, but me and my wife have two OCs that we would like to bring to life, so I'm hoping to find inspiration and tips on how to navigate the jungle. :3nodding:

    3. Hi there and thank you! :D
      For the OC I want to turn into a doll I am looking at an S.I.D. Model type body with extra mobility! His partner will most likely be a Y.I.D. because I like the proportions of Iplehouse dolls a lot and it's important that their little size difference is reflected well with the dolls, hehe. I've been looking around different sites and somehow always end up back at Iplehouse.

    4. Ah Iplehouse dolls look awesome I do not have one for myself, but my boyfriend wants one for his collection. So he's saving money for it. ^^

    6. Hello and welcome to this website and to the hobby!

      My JID Iplehouse girl is a very solid doll with good pose-ability right out of the box. And their customer service was very quick for a 15+ hour time difference. I picked JID Faline because of her cute face and the deer hooves because she's going to be a forest spirit. Most of Iplehouse's sculpts are more realistic human proportions and "fantasy' or color-matching resins are limited to special times and increase the price. Beautifully detailed and more realistically proportioned dolls are very much their specialty.

      As for 34 being "old" for this website, not really no :lol:. As far as my 40+ self can tell, 34 is pretty average around here. Welcome to the website again and happy dolling!

    8. Hi! I am 30 so we are not that far apart! I also liked BJD when I was a teen, but lacked the funds to indulge, so I am compensating now. XD

      Iplehouse has such beautiful sculpts! If you always come back to the same company for months and months, then perhaps it's meant to be. Good luck!

    9. Oh boy I realized I never actually went back here to report on the dolls we ended up buying! After looking at Iplehouse dolls for years what actually hit us like a truck and made us fall in love was Ringdoll Kim and a LoongSoul CangJue! The default faceups were exactly what we were looking for, it happened to be Black Friday sale... Now I have to at some point take nice pictures and make them proper profiles on here :D
