Hey there! I’m new to collecting bjds. I started collecting Barbie dolls at a young age( all still in original boxes, I didn’t even play with them lol) and then I stopped when I was in high school. Fast forward a bunch of years(I’m now in my early 30s)..I first fell in love with pullip dolls, but didn’t really know much about them or the hobby, then I discovered bjds on Instagram and loved the photos people took of their dolls. I was already collecting Re-ment miniatures at the time so naturally I found tons of pictures with dolls. I did my research and bought my first doll, she’s a doll leaves pearl, I got her from Denver Doll and I’m definitely planning on buying more from them. I fell in love with her ears, and got her head blank so I can try my hand at face ups. I’m also very interested in making my own clothes and wigs. I also enjoy making miniature props for dolls! This is such a fun hobby! I’m already looking for others to add to my collection
Hello and welcome! Pearl is a lovely sculpt, and faceups can be both fun and challenging. There are a lot of good threads about faceups in the Customization and Mantelpiece subcategory of the Workshop tab. Congratulations on your new doll and happy dolling!
