Hello from Canada!

Jun 26, 2023

    1. I'm very excited to learn more about large scale BJDs! I primarily collect vinyl fashion dolls and do have several Jamieshow Muses (1/6 scale, resin, ball jointed, wigs, but with painted eyes instead of ones you can switch out).

I just ordered my first 1/4 scale doll - minifee Celine with faceup, straight from Fairyland! Here's hoping she arrives by the end of summer (I don't think I've ever ordered something directly from South Korea before). I'm especially interested to see what it's like playing with a bigger doll - 1/4 is quite large for me! - and I'm very intrigued about the possibility of changing her eye colour. In the future, I think I would buy my dolls blank and send them away to be custom painted. This said, I really like the regular faceup for Celine, and I think there's something to be said about a doll you can play with right away!

    2. Welcome! Minifee are a great introduction to 1/4 if you're used to smaller dolls, because they're on the small end of that size spectrum. Fairyland is also a great choice if you're impatient; I've never had a Fairyland take more than three and a half months to get to me, even through a dealer (although I'll be genuinely shocked if my special color event dolls get here quite that quickly).

I'll look forward to seeing your doll when you get her!

    3. Hi from Canada. I also had some 1/6 scale dolls before I got into BJDs. I had 1/3 scale dolls first but they were too big for me. I've got all 1/4 scale slim MSDs now, like Minifees. They are a great size, easy to handle but big enough that they're not too hard to make clothes for. And 1/4 scale props and furniture are easy to get. You can use most 18" doll stuff.
