Hi! I've finally really entered the world of bjd's after a decade and a half of yearning. I'm 36, mama of two, living in north AL for the past 8yrs with my hubs (and my sister for the past two years). I'm pagan/spiritual, an artist (I run a studio in an artists collective in an old cotton mill), I love hiking the nature trails in my area, reading, tarot, and cats. I'm finally embracing a lot of things I haven't let myself before (partly due to finances). I have my first lovely, a ResinSoul Ling I've named Mel.
Aw congratulations! It's so wonderful you could bring home your first bjd now! Ling is a really great sculpt, I think! I don't see her around a lot but I've often thought about getting one myself (I probably won't ever because I have way too many dolls). I love the way you've customized her. She seems like she can reflect some of your other interests! That's wonderful, I hope you have a lot of fun with her
Welcome to you and Mel! I’m an almost 30’s mom of two in southern TN! It’s cool to see other moms getting into BJD’s too. I’ve also just started collecting after about as many years of wanting to. I’m so happy for you!
Welcome! Glad you can finally treat yourself and do things you enjoy. Mel is beautiful, I really love how you've styled her and matched everything - including the small details like her nails!
Welcome fellow southern cat lover, to the wonderful world of BJDs I hope you will show off lots of pictures with Mel, maybe along your favorite hiking trails, or at your converted studio
