Hi, hi, hello! I'm new to the hobby and have been doing research for several months. You can call me Lime! About two months ago I reached out to someone to purchase my first doll secondhand and I'm working on paying for her at the moment. Getting very close now! She's a Lillycat Kitty Jolie and she's just perfect. I'm going to turn her into one of my Dungeons + Dragons characters, a prospect I am deeply excited about! Other than that, I like gaming and journaling and have a very cute cat who likes to run around my legs when I'm walking around. It's great to be here and I hope to be around for many years to come. :3
Welcome Lime! Kitty Jolie is a fantastic choice for your first doll-I have 2 and I love them both! I think you will have a lot of fun with your project and I look forward to hearing more about it. I also like gaming and have cats, so it’s very nice to greet you!
Hello and welcome! Jolie is soooo cute! What a great choice to start off with! Can you give us some details on your DnD character?
Thank you both kindly for the warm welcome! I absolutely can! Her name's Marie. She's statted as a half-elf bard in the college of swords, but very specifically she's half-drow, half-tabaxi, owing to a somewhat complicated in-world heritage but also because I love cat girls haha! She's a very bright and bubbly character, extremely extroverted as one would expect a bard to be, but she has a selfish streak and is the queen of bottling up her negative emotions. Considering she's in a Curse of Strahd game, this has been an asset, but as of late she has been leaking around the edges. Surely this can only go well! As a half-drow Jolie in candy purple is essentially perfect for her (she's got sort of a sphynx cat thing going on, furless except for her hair, a puffy mane, and tail) so I was so excited to find one for sale! I was thinking I might try to wire and sew her a tail as well, a little project I'm excited about but not sure where to start with.
Your character and plans for the doll sound wonderful! I am happy that you were able to find such a good choice for your vision.
Such a cute idea, to turn your D&D-character into a doll! That's like taking miniatures to the next level. I love it. Good luck with the tail-sewing project!
