Helianth WIP - sanding and finishing

Hello everyone! this is the first bjd made by my girlfriend and me (in spanish forums she is the one who writes).

He/She is made in 3d, and is called Helianth! We've been working on it for some months. He/She is 26cm tall (and a little chubby asexual body). Here are some pics but you can also take a look at the album 'making of' on our flickr or facebook page and see them all, I hope you like it!

This is a resin test about the prototype without sanding, my girlfriend was practicing the face up with it.

aaaaaaaand we're in the finishing phase but.. we have a little doubt and we would like to hear your advices..

So, here is the question: how could we finish it so that the reproductions are completely smooth? We find small holes or textures... now, it is very very soft to touch, we were dead sanding everyday xD

resin test!

We have a resin test of Helianth head we've to remove some little things but.. only is a test at moment (we're casting by ourselves)
