Sculpting Head size/circumference

    1. The head I have been working on for...well, let's just say way too long...has grown to have a circumference of 27-28cm and I am freaking out! :...( I had originally planned for it to have a circ. of like 24 :o and I know wig sizes won't exactly "mesh" with such a huge head. Not to mention I never wanted such a large girl :(

      What I wanted to ask is, how large are people making their heads?

      If they become a bit over sized, what is a good way to size them down without completely reconstrucing everything?

    2. I don't know of any Asian style BJDs with that big a head, but if you look among wigs for other kinds of dolls you'll be able to find something that will fit. You just won't have a very good selection of unatural colors or trendy kinds of cuts.

    3. Okay, so I've decided to scrap my first head. I wasn't altogether pleased with the results anyway. Thanks for the help, though :) Ah, feels good to start fresh.

    4. No kidding. I kind of wish I'd started over with Robin's head. When I started working on Joy, it was just sooooo much easier to make a head from scratch once I knew what I was doing. I bet you're going to find this next head a lot easier now that you have a feel for it from working on your first head.
