*Caution, Doll nudity!* I first saw my "grail" Dollfie back in 2014, when she was first released. It was love at first sight! Back then, I only added resin BJDs to My Crew, I was like "I can't see my self paying as much or more for a mere vinyl doll." Jump to December 2022, eight years later. After a series of terrible life events, I took the advise of a very learned friend who said, "You've had it rough lately. You should do something nice for yourself." So, late one night, I decided to look around and get myself a doll. I found my grail, but she was super expensive, like she has been ever since I first missed out on her. After messaging two different sellers, I finally broke down and used a credit card to get her from a third seller, and for less. Luckily for me, she was still Mint In Box! I even managed to find some super-expensive outfits for her. So after a stressful two week wait, during which much of the US had some really strong winter storms, she arrived on December 28th! Meet Hatsune Miku, my first and probably last vinyl doll! Hatsune Miku is home! by Ryuichi Sakuma, on Flickr A few of her items I had ordered after I got her, but they arrived first, like this body suit to protect her from staining. After doing some research, I found out that vinyl dolls stain pretty easily. *shrug* Hatsune Miku is home! by Ryuichi Sakuma, on Flickr Hatsune Miku is home! by Ryuichi Sakuma, on Flickr She even came with extra hands and skin-colored tape to protect her from staining. Thank you for reading! Ryu
Congrats on your Miku! I went through the same feelings with my first vinyl doll too, and now I have a small army! She looks like she's already on her way to being very spoiled
Congratulations on getting your Miku! I was the opposite and started out with vinyl dolls. They sure are light and do stain more easily when compared to resin BJDs. It's a good thing you bought a bodysuit; my Luka was stained after just a week of wearing her full-set outfit. I was too excited and wanted to get her dressed right away; big mistake .
Thank you! Yes, she is definitely spoiled! I'm more than likely not getting any other vinyl dolls, but who knows. I'm more into the resin aesthetics, she was basically a one-off. Yes, I read about someone putting a black wig on one of their vinyl dolls, and two hours later, it had stained their head. I was shocked! That's probably the main reason why Miku will be the only vinyl doll I get. Staining. Thank you! Ryu
Thank you for sharing and congratulations! I'll probably start with vinyl dolls due to their price, but any anime dolls are always welcomed!
Absolute queen! Glad you got yourself a nice christmas present May I ask which other outfits you got for her?
Thank you! Yes, she is super cute! From what I've seen Volks vinyl dolls can actually cost more than their resin counterparts. I think it may be because of their internal skeletons. I really don't know why...yet. Tbh, I'd be a "king," since I'm a guy. And like the friend I mentioned before said *points up," Miku is more of a "Life got really terrible, so do something nice for yourself" gift. So now I'm going broke using my credit card to get her a wardrobe. She came with her original outfit, since she was MIB. I am still hurting, but she makes me smile despite the emotional pain. I actually snagged a few canon (official Miku) outfits for her, and I have my eyes open for more. I'm still waiting for all of them to arrive. Ryu
