So, I'm looking for an alternative to MSC. I saw that Stewart Semple has something called "Coat". It says its water based so I'm hoping its like a better Vallejo. I was wondering if anyone has experience with using Culture Hussle products on bjds!
They say it can be used on reborn, but won't produce a "skin-like effect" so I wonder just how smooth it would be. It's listed as a varnish as well which makes me think it would be too smooth for pastel usage.
I use liquitex matte varnish in my airbrush as a sub out for msc and it picks up pretty well. I'm all for experamenting as long as it doesnt melt my doll. It says its extra strong so i might use it as my final layer
The wording and instructions on the site make it sound like it's intended for varnishing paintings or protecting spray painted/airbrushed items. Probably not going to unseat MSC/Liquitex matte varnish any time soon but it might be useful to protect body blushing or doll manicures?
