    1. One of the reasons I always enjoy DoA Anniversary season is that it coincides with the birthday/arrival of my first BJD: Pen, a Custom House basic Ai Gene. I opened his box on August 17, 2004 . . . one of those dates that I will probably never forget. :aheartbea


      Do you have a doll who came to live with you in 2004? Or a doll who was cast in 2004, no matter when he/she arrived in your hands? Post a picture and a little information about your eight-year-old resin love!

    3. I have an eight year old doll. Two other might be that old, I'll have to double check. :sweat

      Kohyama Kyuuya (HyperManiac Omicron 2004)

      I looked for this guy for almost two years before I got him. Not knowing what to make of my first doll without a pre-existing character I threw him together with random stuff at first:

    6. Although I got her only this year, Auri is a Volks Anais II that was released on 01 August 2004. Well, 8 in head sculpt only, since she's been upgraded to a brand new SDGrG body. >w<

    9. Haru (born 2004) is an original strung-with-elastic Dollfie Dream. I am her ?third owner, & hopefully her last! She put on her party dress to wish DoA a Happy 8th Birthday :D

      This is Marlowe Morneau, a now-discontinued SoulDoll Paris. My first and my favorite, the star of my dolly-story and the "official owner" of almost all the doll clothes worn by all of my 60cm boys. Few things get purchased unless they will look good on Marlowe. He's such a clothes horse, and I love him for it~

      He was ordered and cast in 2004, though he didn't arrive until early 2005. :aheartbea

    12. Oh, dolls.

      Phir, my once-upon-a-timed Kohya, who I no longer own, was my first doll. I saved, and I saved, and I saved for him. He would be eight by now, if he is still with Kagari.:

      Then, the first doll I ever did see, who once belonged to zoi_no_miko, must be what, eight or nine (I'm sure nine! Maybe even ten, so maybe I'm breaking the rules a bit, but I don't care) by now. I owned him, a DoC Too named Kuro, for three years. He's moved onto several homes, now, and I'm not certain where he is these days!:

    13. My Elf Shiwoos (Teacup and Kaedae) aren't quite old enough to show up in this thread, I don't think... But there are a couple of little dolls in the Turtle House crew who are.

      These two little troublemakers are Hakata and Hanaki; both "first generation" Volks KoTenshi Tsubakis made in the spring of 2004. I'm Han's third owner and Kata's second.

I have it in my head that they're either late 2003 or early 2004--because I know when I first started buying stuff for Pen in 2004, I found Aziza's fur wigs on eBay, and she used her twin Elf Shiwoos as models. (One of them now lives with me, which, hooray, hobby!!) C'mon, Luts experts, let's hear from you!!

    18. Great thread. :) I just realized that my Volks Unoss Sienna is 10. Volks ltd.Ken, Piccadilly Lucas, and Capt'n. Cecile are 9. CH Ju-jak, Jin-ha, and Bin are also 9. CH Victory Sony; Volks Hewitt, Michele, Tohya, Isao; and Souldoll Ash are 8.....

If I weren't such a lazy and stomach-bug-ridden bum, I would go hunting through my box-hoard in the spare bedroom closet right now, and see whether Aziza sent the paperwork for Robin Lowe when I bought him (and if so, whether it has any date on it). Ehhhhh, the weekend IS coming up . . .
