Repair Hand/wrist bar repair? (msd)

    1. Hi guys! I've had my Dz ji-zero for a few months (jan), and have only lightly posed and played with her.

      Today, I was attempting to move her hand forward when the s hook snapped right through the resin bar on the hand piece. This has never happened to be with previous dolls, and i was super surprised and shocked it just.. occurred. No heavy pulling or prodding or anything.

      Is there any way to repair this? I'm pretty inexperienced with repairs and mods.

    2. have you reached out to the company? this seems like the kind of issue they'd provide replacement parts for, especially if you only just got her. (maybe it was a badly placed air bubble in the resin?)

    4. I recall seeing someone with similar damage to a wrist joint where they'd soaked the doll in acetone and it had dissolved that part of the joint. They drilled through the wrist and inserted a small metal bar to place the s hooks on to replace the missing resin one. I can't find the post but it was the exact method from this project journal only through the wrists instead of the neck /threads/a-sleepy-hollow-ghost-headless-mod.735272/

      It might be possible to repair it with epoxy putty as well, but I'm not certain if it would hold or not

      It hopefully won't come to that and DZ will replace the hand! It seems like they made the part with some kind of flaw especially if you were being gentle with it
