Aesthetics Hand/Feet Blushing

Sep 28, 2020

    1. I got it in my head that I should blush my dolls hands before winter! Totally not procrastinating on doing Kasumi’s face up or anything

This is my first time blushing hands and I’ve got three pairs to do... And a pair of feet!
      1. Mirodoll 60cm girl hands
      2. Migidoll Style65 boy hands
      3. April Story AS13 girl hands
      4. April Story AS13 heel feet
My goal is for the Mirodoll and Migidoll hands to have nude nails and for the April Story girl to have a pretty manicure.

Starting out by washing everything down and sealing with MSC. My sisters thought this part was very creepy lol :XD:

So far I’ve managed to do one of Hazuki’s hands! I like how the blushing makes her hands look less boring and flat but I’m not quite satisfied with the color intensity. Guess I will need to seal it again to build up the color. Messed up a bit on the nails so they are quite pink and not the natural looking nails I wanted. Planning to make the hands more blushy to better match her face-up and nails.

    2. Wow! I'll always be envious of those of you that can do this sort of thing. I'm always too scared to try. I absolutely love the nails, even though you were wanting a more natural look. I can't wait to see how the rest of your blushing turns out. Best of luck!

    3. Wow! The nails are pretty realistic in fact even despite they didn't turn out as you planned. Good job! Crossing fingers for you!

Personally, I love working on body blushing but suck at making realistic looking nails. Painting something so tiny is, I'm afraid, simply not doable for me.

Thank you! I think the blushing part was not too difficult but painting the nails was a lot harder than I thought it would be :sweat
Thinning out the paint definitely helps the painting process go more smoothly.
Trying it out for myself really made me appreciate how beautiful face-up artists make everything!

Thank you! Adding in the cuticle and the nail tips really helped it look more realistic! Or somewhat like a french manicure at least :XD: I had to use my smallest brush and very light pressure so as to not make the white sections too thick or heavy. A lot more work than I thought I was signing up for  I might try to just use blushing on my boy's nails and see if it works better.

    5. Just a quick update on this project.
Added more colour to the knuckles and finger tips and I think its looking quite good. The nails don't stick out as much anymore imo. I think I would like to seal these in an add some pink blushing on top.

Also started on the base layer of blushing for the right hand :3nodding: The second hand is going much better than the first (yay learning!).

Noticed some freckles forming and I have no clue how they got there. Its not as visible in person. Maybe its got to do with how I sealed it and the quality of my pastels/brushes. Any ideas? :sweat

    6. Finally done Hazuki’s hands!
In my opinion the right hand turned out much better than the left. Learned how to blush and paint nails better on my second go around haha. There’s a few blemishes I missed until after sealing. Overall I’m pretty satisfied, so I don't intend to wipe and redo.

Now that I have an idea of how to do the blushing, I will try to do the rest of the hands somewhat in parallel.

Thats one down and 3 to go!
