Hades, my impldoll Chad in custom grey!

Having been stalking impldoll for the past one year, I finally caved in an made an order for one of their newly introduced idol boys, Chad! I immediately fell in love with the special head once I saw the promo photos and knew I had to get my hands on him. He was to be my first fanatasy themed doll, and I never felt so compeled to get a fantasy one till I saw him. And I have to say he's worth every single penny now that he has arrived and dare I say he's the handsomest doll I've ever come across! Those manly features of his even blank are just too striking for me and I can't help but stare at him all day long.

I ordered him in a custom grey color which I know many have been interested to see him in. I particulary asked them to produce him in dollshe's titanium grey colour. When he arrived though, he wasn't as dark a grey as I expected him to be, but the more I looked at him, the more perfect the shade of grey he arrived in seemed to me. So no regrets here! A shoutout to those who want to get a custom color matching body from impldoll though, I would recommend sending them a headcap or a sample piece of the color that you want so that you won't be disappointed

I ordered him during an event and instead of picking a 1/4 doll for free which the event was entitled to, I picked out the 1/6 Ives which is also a sculpt that was very much needed in my family and I'm truely happy I went ahead with the order! Oh am I in love with the box! I believe all idol bodies/sculpts at least will be shipped in a box now instead of a carrier bag. And I believe I'm the first one to have received an impldoll order in a box.

And under all that goodies, is Hades! With little Hoglet (impldoll ives) tucked in a lil corner there. I'm not sure if they placed his arms in such a way but his arms ended up tucked underneath his torso.

And here's hoglet all freed from his airbag! I ordered him in real skin, and he's such an exquisite poser! Being my first yosd, I'm very impressed by his size and how well he can hold his poses. I found it really funny that he has a weenie though as I thought most yosds would be genderless

Hades! He came in perfect condition except for a few staining on his hands and thigh. Nothing that can't be fixed with a magic eraser of course. But just look at this magnificent hunk of resin.

By this time, my camera battery died so that was about the end of the photoshoot haha. Note to self: Always charge the damn camera.
I do not have any clothes for him yet, but I plan on getting him the new sculpt, Tank's clothes for him
I then decided to try on the eyes that I got for him, which turned out to be too small for the eye wells but the color at least fits him well!

Taken with my handy dandy hp. The eyes somehow is giving him a slightly softer look than I expected though, so I need to scourge for alternatives soon!

Haha, impldoll did in fact quote that they're using boxes now to prevent fingers from breaking easily. And yea I am on a search for more appropriate eyes for him. Thanks!

I'm not really a fan of the black base eyes actually. I was thinking of getting eyes with a smaller iris with a large white base that would fit the eye wells. But I would take your idea into consideration. Thank you!

 

Yay another grey Chad owner! My Chad is in a custom grey colour though. Yours is in the standard grey colour right? I really would like to do a comparison with the standard grey colour and see how much darker my Hades is, haha. Which event gift did you get?

 

Yes! I was thinking of getting some eyes from eyeco as they have 13mm ones with more white in it. And yes he is a custom grey colour. The half body shot of him is how he actually looks like in natural lighting. But his shade of grey is actually a very good shade to play around with during editing, when I take photos.
I don't think the DZ body would look proportionate with his head, because his head is rather large, what with the ears and carved hair. But you could always test it out and let us know how your hybrid goes
And he really is perfect already without a faceup but I'm gonna give it a shot to see how he would look like with a faceup.

Thanks! Finally decided that the shade he came in is the perfect shade of grey I could ask for Can't wait to see some of the newer sculpts that they will be releasing soon!

 

I love his size actually! I've only gotten attached to the big boys so far which is why my resin family only consists of boys from 60-72cm. And a special edition would by my event gift, Hoglet who is the only yosd in the family.
Try out having the big hunks in your resin family some day
