Hello resin fans! I hadn't seen a box opening for this size from this specific doll maker yet so here goes. This doll body arrived on December 23rd after placing the order in early September through distributor Jane's Dolland. This is the 1/5th scale girl body in their Normal resin with the wider 5.8cm neck option. On to the photos! . Order came with a cute padded carrier bag that could fit many accessories along with the doll. The long adjustable strap is removable too. . The non-doll bag contents include an envelope with some cute temporary tattoos, a company card, a CoA made of thick plastic, and a pulling-hook tool to help with putting on or removing a head. 1/5 size Guard Love box opening The doll body was packaged in some inflated plastic packaging that fit inside the bag and had the usual limb wrapping. The doll underwear was included. The knee and elbows double-joints and the torso's two pieces are visible above. 1/5 size figure posing A sitting pose of the front of the doll to show the joints in action. They move smoothly and hold a pose pretty well. The elbow "peanut" joints are split into two pieces so they function much like the hip mobility joints to give a nice large range of motion. The resin color is a pretty good match to an older Resinsoul normal. Guard Love does have other color options available including pink, yellow, a creamy white, tan, light tan, gray, and purple. Those last four cost extra though. Final thoughts are mostly positive. This body is small and very light weight compared to a regular MSD or even most slim MSDs. In comparison to the few tiny or YOSD sized dolls I have this body looks big. The only "eh" things are that the ankles have less range than I expected and the fingers are pointy and kind of sharp. A good choice for those in between sized heads or the companies' own sculpts.
I've been really curious about this size since I've been seeing more of them popping up lately. Thanks for sharing. :3
This size looks really fun! : D It could be good for people looking for dolls to be older kid or fae creature sized next to their existing 1/4 sculpts. Also the scale for faceups might not be as small as the 1/6 faces so it could be a bit easier to paint than those really tiny features. When it comes to doll makers putting out sculpts with more size variety I appreciate the possibilities that that opens up.
Looks nice! I've been curious about Guard Love and this size since I haven't really seen much of them until recently. The bag it came in looks super useful and handy as well~
It's been a bit! Here's a pictures of my Doll Zone Little Snow head on this Guard Love body: Little Snow 1/5 hybrid If anyone is looking for a less Chibi proportioned body than the original DZ body that this sculpt comes with the GL normal pink might be a really good match to Doll Zone's normal peach resin color.
