I just saw that Vindoll New Normal is a match for Volks NS and now I'm dying to replace my Ryoma's SD17 body with something less god-awfully *heavy*. I wonder when Granado's going to restock...

 

Waya is so handsome. Together we won the Granado photo contest in 2019. I wonder if they will have another one this year/ They skipped 2020 but I'm not surprised.

I am very interested in getting a tan Udell but alas, it seems that there is not that color anymore.

Any suggestions on where I could post a WTB to get one second-hand is welcome!

 

I've recently been thinking again on getting a Vindoll... Is Normal Skin ever coming back? Only Bronze is still an option on the website.

 

I too wonder if more skin options will ever come back in stock.

 

I'm waiting for other skin colours to come back too... esp. tan skin.

Granado has actually been asked quite often on their Q and A whether the other Vindoll skin tones will come back... and according to the unlocked posts, their latest response is 'On this stage we cannot tell if NS or TS will be back.'

I think I remember reading somewhere before that they are having trouble getting the materials for making Vindolls? Can't remember where though.

 

Yeah, it's a pity. Their bronze is pretty, but I really am just interested in the TS...

 

So I'm guessing vindolls are male only?

 

It seems so at the moment, but there are some wonderful female sculpts in resin (Jane and Venus) that are sometime re-released. Maybe in the future (if people pester Granado enough haha) there will be a vinyl female? There is hope at least!

 

Personally I think that granado vindolls are male is great. We have so many female vinyl bjd already. Even fairyland has their own vinyl female line now. Plus I don’t think Granado will consider making their female sculpts into vindolls because they are not that popular and also I have seen a lot of people complain about the Granado female body. If they do I absolutely would get one to have a vinyl more realistic bjd. But I don’t place my hopes so high yet. They didn’t make Raguel into a vindoll and all they had to do was create the head for the vindoll also he is a very popular sculpt. So I think our chances of getting a female vindoll are low even if we pester them.

 

I ordered an Enoch on a short layaway! I'm so excited. I have an Angelphilia and fell in love with vinyl dolls. I could never cope with the weight of big resin boys (had an eid at one point). I just never picked them up to play with them. So I am thrilled to see if this goes better. although I would prefer that they also offer a slimmer body, I won't complain!

I hope to finish off the short layaway in early august. Here's me hoping he'll arrive switfly after that.

-I went though the whole thread and the ones before and I agree Raguel would be beautiful in vinyl. I hope maybe they will release him with a new vindoll body. They have other resin model bodies, right? So they could invest in maybe some other vindoll bodies... here's me hoping

Anyway I am currently trying to make mock ups and patterns for the clothing I want to make for my boy. He'll most likely be called Lyric.

 

YAY! Congratulations on you Enoch. I agree about Raguel. I been waiting for Raguel on vindoll version for years. I honestly don’t care much about other bodies. I like muscle bodies on my guys and I’m happy with this. It looks very natural.

@AllyCat - I cannot wait to see your Lyric, just the name sounds intriguing! And, yes, Raguel in vinyl; I keep waiting to see if they'll announce him. Not that I have a character for him; a requisite for buying dolls (to keep from buying impulse purchases I have no room for...).

Main reason for returning after a long hiatus that I did not intend on taking, has anyone else had an issue with parts coming off a little too easily after moving them a little too much? One of the last times I was in one of these threads, I remarked how I'm not that fussed when Leon's leg falls off at the hip [because it's an easy fix]. But it does somewhat limit the poses he can hold as it's a little loose in the joint. I'm trying to think of how I can get it to fit better, like microporous tape or something similar. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Just ordered a tan skin Charles from FaithZ! (Yay! Grail get!) He's in stock, but in their mainland China warehouse, so have to wait for him to be transported to Hong Kong.

I just happened to spot him on Code Noir's Etsy shop the other day. (Code Noir and FaithZ are basically the same.) Then saw that he was cheaper on FaithZ's site, and since I was in the area today, I went to FaithZ to buy him, thinking that I could take him home immediately since he was marked in stock... (They do have lots of other dolls in their brick-and-mortar shop.)

He's apparently made from leftover tan skin parts, so he has a bronze frame, but the salesperson I spoke to says it's not noticeable.

Anyway, Code Noir/FaithZ do still have a tan skin Hansel if anyone is looking for one!

I'm new to this thread after years of looking at Enoch, not sure why I didn't get him when he first released and they had a discount and shipping was much cheaper..lol. Anyway I decided Monday was the day so ordered him through BJDivas. I'm sure this has been asked a lot and if I have the time I'll scroll through the previous threads. So what size should I look for in pre made clothing? And anyone who sews their own clothing what size sewing pattern should I search. From measurement info it looks like he is kinda in between SID and EID...or is he more similar to a different body? Thanks in advance and let the wait begin.

 

Congratulations! As for clothing: I am very satisfied with SartoriaJ male line - few years ago Jay had collection for Vindolls, best match is SID side (for patterns), because EID size was tooooooooo big for my boy and some clothing for standard male bodies may have a hip size problem.
I have khaki jeans and white shirt and lots of boots from SartoriaJ. Fits OK. But for Vindolls hips are problems zone. So trousers and jeans may not always fit perfectly because anatomy of "male parts". And for Tshirts: elastic knit is wise choice because of broad shoulders.

 

yes I did end up buying a few basic pieces from SartoriaJ a few weeks ago they assured me that they were made for Vindoll so cross fingers they are and actually fit..lol..not sure how long they take to ship I'll have to check there website again. I have been looking at SID patterns but was worried about the hip measurement difference..but I could always alter the patterns. Thanks for the confirmation.

 

I saw that I hadn't posted this on my Flickr. Knowing that you can use a resin head on a vindoll is important. You can even use a Granado resin head when Granado doesn't make a vinyl version.
I've had both a Dollshe pale tan Orijean and this Ringdoll tan Raven on the bronze vindoll body.

That's pretty cool, I'm curious what other company's might match the bronze?? I know my Vindoll won't entirely look that great with my Smart Dolls or DDs but maybe if I changed the head..lol. We'll see once he gets here...I forgot how long the wait seems..lol

My boy came in a few weeks ago I've named him Prometheus because my husband said he looked like one of the aliens..lol. He is a Enoch, clothing I purchased from SartoriaJ but hopefully I'll work on some clothes myself. Was kinda disappointed in the pants because they are a tad too short. Finding shoes certainly is a pain..lol. I only have one photo of him up on my inst, sorry that is the only place I've put him on and the fact that I need to find a reliable photo storage that I can grab a URL from...Facebook unfortunately ends up broken links and Flikr only has limited space..lol Login • Instagram

 

Are the vindolls ever available in syringa, or is it just bronze, pale, and dark tan?

 

Just three colors, white, normal and bronze.

 

I've been lurking and watching Vindolls for a while now and noticed that all of them seem sold out on Granado's site. I wonder what the chances are that they'll do a vinyl release of another type of body. I'm all for the Lads+ if they ever go in that direction with Vindoll.

 

I think the chances are very low that they'll re-release Vindoll or make another vinyl line...

Granado seems to have pretty much abandoned the Vindoll line for a couple of years now? It seems like they haven't restocked it since the original release and have just let their initial stock sell out.

Several people did ask when they would restock the Vindoll line in public questions on their old site and they said they had problems getting the raw materials to make them.

 

Oh! And then suddenly out of the blue after so long, Granado has announced that they are working on a new Vindoll frame!!

 

That’s great news. I thought I was done collecting vindolls but it seems I might need to start saving for the future. I hope this time they release Raguel in vindoll form.



I do like the current body a lot. So I hope they stick to it.

I’m mentally prepping myself for when Vindoll’s new body is finally released. Can anyone tell me if any of the current skin tones are similar to either Volks DD semi white or flesh?

 

I’m hoping they rerelease a bunch of the heads and some ones that were not released. Very glad to see some news about this line.

 

i'm not familiar with their other body types is there a easy comparison on the sizes? Though I do like my current Vindoll Enoch a slightly smaller/shorter version would be awesome or something more able to access clothing..lol

 

Hello all, I am finally getting back into doing things with my dolls and my beloved Vindoll Enoch Daryus (my other one has no body nor faceup, nor do I know what I'm doing with him yet) is back with a new faceup! I still need to add his piercings back but I'm too scared to do that right now.

Anywho here.
