@SteamWitch I looked back a page and saw you were asking about dolls that could be partners with Granado minis, but which size mini? I like the way my 48 looks with my raccoondoll.

I have tried to sell mine but looks like he's stuck with me. I think I want to give him a second chance with a new faceup, maybe I'll send him off for one instead of trying myself. He really does look good with my girls

 

@skyealloway Outside of being a little fiddly because of a tiny hook, I've had no issues with changing hands around. I like using the fists when I'm changing her shirts because of how long her fingers are.

 

Thanks @SteamWitch and @skyealloway ! The hands are fairly easy to switch. She has smaller S-hooks than my Dollshe Amanda, so only a tiny bit more fiddly (doable though!).

 

I have the 41cm boy. I think I'll wait for a while to buy any other mini unless there is a crowd funding for another of Granado's boys. I don't know how much of a hassle it was for them to do the original ones but now that they have a prototype for the body it's only the head that needs the special work.
And now for something completely different.
I tried the Serenade Rabbit head on him - Cool! He could use this in a masquerade or as part of the Curious Twilight Actors.

I think she might just end up staying on my desk for the foreseeable future. Ironically, all the props I got for her thinking they'd be too small are all the correct size. Might need to make her a rug but I don't know if I should crochet it or find a cool pattern and make a quicky one. Decisions, decisions...

 

I've had an epiphany. I shall model my Lucifer after Kevin Sorbo as Hercules.

 

I ordered one of the SantorialJ outfits and it fits perfect. I was afraid of it being too loose since Fid men are larger but I'm happy with the fit.

I keep looking at the Adagio body hoping that Crocus will make an msd version. Probably not likely, but I have several floating heads in need of bodies and Dollshe's wait times aren't worth it.

 

I found a ferret chair/toy at Chewy that fits Kensett just right. You have to put stuffing the bottom because it's set up as a hidey hole for critters. It is well built and soft.

Hopefully bringing this thread back to life? Granado's latest teaser includes a 49 Ascent body, and I am hopeful!! I need at least two bodies for floating heads, so I am really looking forward to more info/size chart!
I really like the thigh joints compared to the other bodies (if it is like the tiny version).

 

I am also so stoked for the teaser image!! I really want granado to make 40-60cm bodies available the same way their other ones are

 

The new bodies are up on the Granado site and there are measurements for the 49cm body way at the bottom! Now to decided on a head!

 

Hi, all. Long time no see. Real life and all that. Think these 49-50 cm bodies will finally ring my chimes for posing with clothing detail, but I'm not all that thrilled with the Granado heads. I can mod them, but would rather find something closer to my mental image of my boys. Anyone know who is making mature/pretty but angular male heads in the appropriate size?

 

I am hoping to get a 49 Lucent on the Adagio 2 Plus body (that's a mouthful). Of all the heads available, that one I like the most. Too bad they haven't released any of the older heads, but I know they most likely wont as those were probably hand sculpted. I do have a few floating heads here that I would like to try though! I am excited for more in this size! I also hope to get the 1/4 jointed hands.

 

They have the 49cm Lucent listed as a separate item now with extras available like jointed hands. a wig and a suit!

 

Is it just me, or do the promo photos for the 50Evolve show the head sculpt Gabriel? I don't see him listed for sale though? I hope they release him if so!

 

I asked about more heads for the 49-50 cm bodies. They are planning more in the future. So the only ones they have now are the three listed. I asked which head is shown on the 50Evolve body.

Does the 13.1cm head girth for the 49cm adagio2 body too small?

 

Maybe only marginally small? I had to go back and look. That head size is the same as my Dollshe Fashion Diana. I still plan to get the Adagio2, with jointed hands and hopefully the Gabriel head after Christmas. I am going to need to email them to see if that is possible. I know I can always put the Gabriel head on one of my slightly smaller bodies. I have always loved the SD Gabriel so I am so happy for the fashion size!!!

 

Smaller heads seems to be consistent with other companies new offerings with mature male bodies. I have a Ninth head on the 49Ascent body. I think he looks fine with a wig! I'll try to get a picture of him.

 

Can i request a photo of him with other dolls? Preferably Minis? Just wanna see him in scale with the others. Thanks a lot.

 

Swinging by to ask what clothes fits the 50embody in particular? I'm fine grabbing some stuff from the meager model51 selection Luts has but I'd like it to actually fit and if there's more options I'd also love to know too

 

I'd also be very curious to see a scale comparison of them, if you have the time

 

I'd be curious to see them compared to others, too. 50-ish cm is my current favourite size.

 

I also want to take pictures with some other dolls in the 40-50cm size range! i will try to start today!

Thanks for doing the comparison shot @nancy_schroeder_ca He's much more slender and has a smaller head than I thought. I wonder how he'd look compared to a Conarium boy (I've wanted one of them forever).

 

@Iron_Dog I don't have a Conarium boy but I have a few other smaller head 40-50cm guys!

One of my friends was looking for a friend for their boy and funny enough, they are visiting me this weekend and I'd showed them your previous photo. They actually have a Unitot so seeing him in this line up is going to be even more helpful to them.

I have a FL Chicline Rou and an OrientDoll Tae Vampire in addition to an Iple FID Claude Vampire and Raccoon Doll Kai Elf (and quite a few other 50-ish boys, lol) so both your photos are very helpful to me as well. I'd been curious about the White doll and how he'd compare to similar sizes as well.

 

Hello granado thread! I've looked into maybe getting a granado 1/4 as a partner to a more mature msd gal I have, and after seeing the handsome new 49Howlet I am tempted I'm tied between the ascent and the adagio bodies (my character isn't so... muscly XD), but I was also wondering if anyone knew the average head and neck size of the msd dolls? That's like the one thing I can't seem to find anywhere XD

 

I have ordered each of the bodies but the only one that has arrived is the 49Ascent body with a Ninth head. His wig size is 5.5. He has snatched a wig from one of my Unitot boys. The 49Ascent body is very nice!

Did I ever say here that my Ninth stole a wig from the Unitot? I have gone a little crazy with this size and have a variety of dolls and bodies on order.

 

There is a crowd funding order for a new body from Granado! I will order both the 50cm and the 33cm bodies. I am just deciding on skin colors!

 

Eep! I'm so excited. I really regret selling my Soom Idealian 51 when I left the hobby long ago, but have been really excited by how beautiful Granado dolls are. I joined the crowdfunding for the new body and Orion head in Amber skin. It was hard deciding between rosy tan, amber, and tan skin colors.

I hope this crowdfunding will be a success!

 

What colors did you decide on, may I ask? There's so many!

 

I haven't decided yet. I want to get out one doll of each color I have and then decide. Today has been busy so I will probably do that tomorrow. I will post a picture. I usually like light colors. I have white, new normal, pink, windfresh and syringa.

 

The syringa is beautiful. My 53Lucifer is that colour. My wallet is happy there's no funds available. The doll collector that I am cries softly.

 

I am so, so tempted by the 50cm boy and I have wanted a Granado doll. Are there better pictures of the Orion head anywhere?

 

I just joined the crowd funding for a 50 cm boy. He might be a tad tall to fit in with the fashion sized group, but he can join the oddball shelf if all else fails. Fingers crossed that he gets the backing!

Thank you for posting the video! I've pre-ordered the 50cm Fortis body and the Orion head without ever being sure I'd seen it... thank you for putting my mind at ease. I ordered him in Amber... I can't wait till he gets here! It'll be my first new doll in many, many years

 

So this is really fascinating! I checked in on Granado social media, and spotted an update on the body development. Check this out: x.com
I've never had a Granado doll -- are these "soft resin" parts normal for them? Do they work well? It looks pretty cool!

 

Some companies have used silicone parts but soft resin is not something I have heard about before.

 

I know for UV resin you can get soft/gummi resin that when it cures, it has the consistency of a firm gummi. I have not used this myself when I make eyes but I have seen it available to purchase. I'm assuming that Granado is not using a UV resin, lol, but if there is a UV version there's probably a 2-part version. I'm not 100% certain but I think the "soft glass" eyes you sometimes see for sale are using the semi-soft/soft resin version so perhaps what Granado is using is similar?

 

There's new news! Granado posted a new video of the 1/ 4 Orion head to their social media. He's so handsome!

Does anyone know what size eyes might be good for a realistic scale?

 

They have 9mm eyes that have worked well in the other 1/4 scale guys.
