Oooooooo I love attitude! And the new Goth in Town is very welcome (I SO love that white wig. Keep it! The contrast is brilliant!) .

I hope, though, that my totally unassuming and sweet Florie is still welcome too . She has a new face-up, and I'm quite pleased with it. How the camera missed her while she was faceless...

I have her in a modern dress at the moment that looks as if it was made for her. She'll be getting a new medieval dress too, but I'm working on her sister-in-law's at the moment so she'll have to be patient for a bit.

LuckyXIII - Oh Jade is not looking impressed with any of our shenanigans. I find myself with that same look on my face way to often. So true the ladies kinda take a back seat to all the beefcake...

Kirika - Thank you for your two scoops of "bro" with an extra helping of Kazu. They're so cute together. I love the white wig & the style of it. It really does make a statement and a nice contrast with the reds and black. I love it.

Sigune - Your Florie is sublime and I really love the styling of the photo.

By the way...I'm sure it's buried in one of the threads for Granado so point me to it...I should poke more really; but have any of you that own the boys experimented with the heeled feet? I'm just curious. Martine would put me in a headlock if I even attempted to put a pair of heels on him...BUT I am bigger than him...mmmwhaha (rubs hands together). I just think they are so darned cool that I'd maybe find a way to use them that suits him - so just wondering. Don't know how though...so curious.

 

Mdonline I will eventually--1760 men still wore heels for formal occasions, I think, though they were like tails now...I just have to make shoes that are right. I have the buckles, though. (It will make the guys astonishingly tall, though!)

I agree! The white wig definitely stays, and I'll just hold over on the black and red wig I ordered for the next goth boy who shows up at my door.
And Florie spam is always welcome~ Gotta love that girl. Her new face-up looks pretty - those lips are gorgeous! I'm such a sucker for soft-looking lips...

Only by about twenty to one or so... I guess the girls get their pick of the Handsome that goes trotting through this thread!

Kazu's never happier than when he's making a statement. ^.^ I think I'm going to have to throw together a photo shoot of all my gothy Granado boys and see who climbs out on top at the end. The battle could be bloody - verbally, anyways. I doubt they'd be able to move enough to draw actual blood when they're encased in so much skin-tight leather.

And I love those Granado heeled feet! My V-01 wears them quite regularly. Old photo is old, but he's wearing them with some skyscraper heels in this shot -->



I really need to go out and find some more stilettos for him... He only has two pairs. Thankfully Granado feet are on the smaller side of the scale, so getting high heels that fit aren't really a problem. ^^

 

Did a faceup on my newly arrived Charles yesterday. Unfortunately for me i was too broke to but the body with the head so it's back to saving for me while this guy stays a floating head for awhile. Super happy with how he turned out though i totally chickened out of giving him some sexy stubble.

Once again I'm days behind. Charles is stunning! It's exciting to see him. I broke down and bought him on the last day of the event.
Broke being the operative word.
Florie's face up is lovely, so soft and pretty.
Kirika the boys are just getting sexier if possible.

 

I never try the heel feet once my doll was came to my home. Your V-01 looks prefect with the heel shoes.
I guess the heel shoes are SD size?

I was looking at these sorta yohoho 1700's shoes that Luts has and it got me thinking. Plus there are just so many cool heeled shoes/boots "for ladies" - I'm really tempted to just buy a pair and experiment. I wasn't really thinking of taking my guys past the the turn of the century but, now I'm thinking Doc might fit well as fancy valet of some fallen nobel...hummm

sherrie1993 - super nice face up and I love the colour palette. I like how you included the Granado stock shots too. It's always interesting to see the before and after.

 

sherri1993-- Spectacular faceup! Wow, there are just too many talented people here!

So nice to see Charles with a non-default faceup. I have a hard time envisioning just how versatile these sculpts can be, so seeing photos like these really are a happy surprise.

 

I tried SD16 size heel shoes on my Adam and they fit. Male heel feet are really awesome.

Well, mdonline, unless he starts paying for the clothes, Doc will just have to put up with what you buy him!

My Granado body came for Captain Davon...it had to sit all day while I tried to meet a deadline, but this evening I had a chance to open the box. I took it out, took the Captain's head off the Aod body, put it on the Granado body, put on his "drawers", and set him on the table without any adjustments. (You can see his feet are sort of sideways). He stands perfectly--he's incredibly well strung. And amusingly, he's also standing in a regulation pose with his hands clasped behind his back. He needs me to finish his hat.



Terrible picture is terrible, but I so wanted to take at least one.

 

Fishcake, did he just slip into that pose? It's so perfectly him, that's wild. I can just imagine him in uniform.

 

The Captain looks great! Can't wait to see him in uniform.

Dulcimea he's a White skin but it's got a little pink in it--very hard to see in the kitchen lightbulbs! Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get more photos...between cleaning up after the storm and work I haven't had much playtime.

Yufe thank you! I was a little worried last week but he came just fine. I love those Granado boxes too--so pretty!

 

Ooo~ Another incoming Charles! He's such an eye-catching sculpt - I'm glad he's basic. I hope to see lots of him around the place eventually!
(And my boys certainly believe they grow sexier with each passing day, if nothing else. Their egos are in no way small! XD )

Yeah, V-01 rocks high heels hard. That smexy body of his was made for them~ And yep, the shoes are SD sized. Just be careful if you go to by boots - their feet may be small, but their calves are not. Any boot you buy will need laces that can be used to adjust the width of the shoe to fit his legs.

*swoons* Now there's a man who commands a presence. Dang, but I love that body. I really, really need to buy another one - probably with the next order I put in with Granado.
Heehee... I really like how, even when mostly naked, your Davon still manages to wear his pride like a shroud across his shoulders. Noble Captain, indeed.

I saw that - and am wishing hard that work picks up next week so I can squeeze in an order for Terra. I want his limited edition (with that gorgeous face-up) sooo bad. It's be fantastic if I didn't have to pay for it. ^.^

That hair needs discipline! I swear I can almost hear it arguing at me like a defiant teenager every time I try and do anything with it!

Everything about the boy is exactly that - defiant! From the time it took him to settle down to the ongoing troubles with his body... I suppose it should be expected that his wig reflect his nature! A tame wig? Pah! Clearly something for amateurs, and not this make-up loving free spirit. Heh.

 

In other news - I've finally sent Doc in the post, along with his buddy who worships him (IOS M) to keep him company to get new face ups. It was hard parting.But I think I'm ready now to take the next step and try my own face-ups I swear I sat there staring at the box on the floor forever...


fishcake - And now that Doc's head is gone, his body really won't have any choice how I dress him. LOL.
I will definitely spam little Terra when he gets here. I'm hoping that he might be cast before the weather gets overly wonky in the summer (July/August). I think I've read that darker resins are more finicky and weather sensitive and didn't want to risk added delay. How soon til the Cap has his gear?

kirika - I think you'll find a way to tame Chiaki's hair...or your other crew will...The blue really does suit him. And as Doc can attest to, the bigger and wilder the hair the better.

 

mdonline what a great pair--I think M is gorgeous too, a nice companion to Doc! And the nice thing about doing your own faceups is that you don't have to send them out, and you can redo them..again and again! LOL!
Well, the Captain might get some civilian clothes first--he's got some black breeches and I want to make him a shirt this week, and some stockings. I am wearing his shoe buckles in my ears right now (a pair of Claire's rhinestone and "sapphire" earrings that will be snipped off and stitched onto some shoes). Coppersmith has a pair of hideous plaid trousers that I am sure he adores, and a shirt, but still no head.

I hope your Terra comes soonish!!

 

How long until your Coppersmith has his head, fishcake? Can't remember when you ordered him.... >.< You were going for a Xavier, right? I'm really interested in seeing this guy - my Xavier has such a sweet look to him, but I somehow doubt your boy will!

And your Doc is finally off for his face-up? Yays! Hopefully it wont take too very long... Having to send them away has gotta be tough. Definitely a good reason to try your hand at doing your own face-ups in the future! Plus, it's just so much fun.

 

kirika yep, a Xavier..I ordered him March 5th so I should be close to shipping time, and the weather is improving so he may be getting a faceup asap once he comes! The timing is actually good since it's giving me a chance to order about 3 wigs... that I am sure he will throw on the floor

And Risou, Fishcake, Kirika - Thanks for the boost in the right direction toward trying my own face-ups! I think now the biggest thing is which head will be my "practice" head.

I'm torn between ordering another Granado because they are having that awesome face-up event which is hard to turn down, and the sculpts are so versatile!! But on the other hand I'd kinda rather find another less expensive head that wouldn't be one of my canon group that I can work on, strip and not really complete as a doll but just use to improve my stills. Meanwhile I'm reading up on all the safety recommendations and research on materials.

Congratulations! I didn't put in the order for my pair of heads until closer to the end of March, so I've still got a while to wait, but it makes me excited to see that we've hit the March orders already! In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy having your Coppersmith entertain me!

And yep, the Davon and Xavier heads are about the same. You're good to go for your hats. ^^

Whee! Does that mean we'll have some V-02 spam to look forward to in the future? Of all the Granado sculpts released so far, I do believe that he is the one I've seen the least of... (And congrats again!)
