20โ€“39cm Dolls Granado 31.5 Napoleon! (NSFW warning)

Jun 4, 2019

    1. Phew!! This boy actually arrived last week--but I didn't get to pick him up from the post office until yesterday! Somehow, despite checking Informed Delivery every day (since people were saying they appeared without any shipping notice), the package never appeared on ID so I didn't realize I had missed him! I went to rescue him from the post office yesterday. I preordered him on the very last day of the order period (end of Feb), I think?) and he arrive 5/28--not too shabby for a preorder!

Anyway, enough preamble, onwards to the photos! And an advanced warning for a pic of the "extra parts"... ;p I'll put that at the end.

Just like before, a hilarious amount of space in this box.

      THE BOY...!!! IT THE BOY...

Right out of the box, he's extremely beautiful! And boy is his head small. I was a little prepared since other people got him before me and mentioned it, but geez...

Still, that FACE! I'm so happy I snagged one.

For comparison, here he is next to my NS Lucifer. His eyes are MUCH smaller and his head is narrower... He is a new challenge. (Napoleon is in WS.)

And here he is compared to some of my Xagadolls! I got him to replace the character of the Xagadoll Ken on the far right--I think he's going pull the age of the character off a bit better, even if his build isn't quite right. Unfortunately the small head size/different body shape means... I need to buy his eyes and wardrobe all over again. Whoops...

And finally, as promised... the extra bits. p: I mostly include them here because the attachment system was changed from the version of the body Lucifer has--instead of two magnets, one of the magnets was replaced with a peg! In theory this seems like it will work better, but I actually couldn't get any of them on... RIP me. Good thing I tend to just leave them in the box anyway I guess.

I'm working on his faceup today and I have some temporary eyes for him that mostly work--so I'll update this thread when I finish! Thanks guys!

    2. Congrats on your new boy!
And I think it's very interesting how the extra bits work. I knew that there are doll companies that make them ehm... exchangable, but I always wondered how that exactly worked, so thanks for the extra picture and have fun with the face up!

    4. Cool guy! Can't wait to see him with faceup and clothes. Do you plan to sew for him? I really can't imagine, where to find stuff for so small doll)

    5. Thanks everyone! I have really been enjoying just looking at him while he's out on my art/work desk. As promised, here's pictures of the faceup! The wig is still very temporary (I stole it from another doll who needed a new one anyway). The eyes as well, though I'm pleased with the fit! (Dreamingtree is reliable as always.)

And @Helg I do plan on doing SOME sewing for him! Luckily I have a lot of other dolls about his size, so some things I have already work. (Like these pants in the picture!) I have another Granado 31.5cm boy though so I want to get better at sewing for this body anyway. The proportions are a little bit... intense. hehe

    6. @Idoru, so you have already bought some clothes for this scale? Or everything you sewed yourself?
If you've bought it, please, say where you managed to find this?)

    7. @Helg Bought! These pants are from a Taobao store (here). I originally bought them for a Xagadoll Ken--they're snug but they don't pop open or strain too much when he sits so I consider that a victory. REALLY annoying to get them on over his heels though.

    8. @Idoru, thank you so much! I've bought Granado Jane 29 cm, so link is very useful)

    9. Oh wow. So tiny and so detailed. He is gorgeous.
