Sculpting Going forward with 3D sculpt?

Oct 8, 2022

    1. Hey! Today I just need some help and suggestions, I’m a 3D modeler however I wanna get more into making dolls so I have a few questions I hope people can help me with!

      1. Splitting the doll

so I already have a full mesh modeled since I was worried my model may look weird doing it in pieces and I was wondering if there is any way to splitting it up

I’ll take any tip or resources I can get!

      2. Sculpting hair

Rather than a wig I really want to sculpt the hair to print as well, so I’m hoping ti get suggestions on that as well. While I have experience sculpting hair, I know that sculpting it for 3D printing is vastly different and would love any tips someone can give

      Thank you so much!

      For Edit mode:

Another one I found but haven't tried yet:

I've never tried sculpting hair. I think your best bet is to poke around youtube for character sculpting tutorials

    3. Sculpted hair comes in at lease 2 pieces, front and back, even on scale figures of anime characters. Try to sculpt the hair so that the partition between the front and back parts aren't obvious. Reference figure painting videos for strategically separated hair clumps.
