So I suppose 'Wait Times' is the most appropriate prefix to choose, but I'm really looking for feedback in general. I have read through both Glorydoll Feedback threads but I know not everyone posts in those and I'm hoping for some more in-depth opinions (as well as they seem to have alot of mixed reviews) . I hope to order their Mitsuki boy in a few months, but I'm getting rather nervous about their reliability. So far I've never heard of anyone not recieving their dolls from them and from the few people I've spoken to I've been told that I should just expect a long wait time but I will eventualy recieve my doll. However, when perusing their Q&A board it appears someone has been waiting for their order for 9 months now and reading that has made me very worried. I really adore their Mitsuki as I've never seen another sculpt like it and would love to order him for my birthday, but I worry about ordering from a company that has a high potential of running off with my money. So, any other experiences or input?
i have never heard of Glorydoll running off with anyone's money, but they are slow, slow to answer questions, slow to ship. my experience, was after waiting for some months, for just a head.... they notified me of shipping, and weeks later, still nothing. their answer? "i gave them the wrong address" and it was being returned to them.... so.... i had to wait for "said head" to return to them, and then re-ship to me.... so, i dunno how to advise, except, order with caution, knowing that it could take months to receive the doll.
I agree with Miss Ally, it can take at least two months for a doll to arrive, more if they are busy. Don't believe them when they say it will be in any shorter amount of time. They seem to answer their Q&A board only once or twice a week too, and when they do ship the doll you need to ask them for the shipping number, they don't send it to you. That said, I had heard all these things before I ordered them, and because I kept them in mind I had a very pleasant experience with Glorydoll both times I ordered from them. I guess you could say they are like Soom in that if you keep asking them for shipping dates you'll be sorely disappointed, because they won't come through. If you're patient and understanding of how they work (I'm convinced it's a part time business for the people who work there, cause messages are sent and the website is updated at times like 2am Korean time), then you should be okay. I can't really say anything about the 9 month wait, that's the first time I've heard of a customer having to wait that long.
Thank you both very much for your input, I really appreciate it. I suppose since I'm well aware of their long waiting times and somewhat shoddy communication, then I shouldn't run into any surprises when I make my order. I have to admit I am a bit paranoid about the company suddenly vanishing as it does seem so tiny (and as mentioned most likely very part-time), so I am very much hoping to order their Mitsuki asap.
I did wait a long time when I ordered from them but they did deliver. I am the type that orders and just forgets about it. If I don't hear anything after a month or two I might check in depending on what I know about the company's turnaround time. I don't think as a company they are at all likely to up and disappear with your money. From what I've seen with other people dealing with Glorydoll is that if you ask them for a delivery time they will tell you "next week" and it will not be fulfilled. They will ship eventually. I loved the doll I got form them, it just ended up being wrong for my plans. I would order from them again.
I've ordered a Miyuki head and a Karin head in Milky skin without face-up on 2009-12-06 from GLORYDOLL and i have some problems of communication and shipping... I wrote to Glorydoll on 2009.12.19 on their Q&A to know how much times is necessary for a shipping notice. They answered to me on 2009.12.21 that my heads will be shipped within the week... But, on 2010.01.06, i wrote again to them because i didn't understand why the heads were not shipped... And asked for a shipping notice schedule. They answered to me on 2010.01.10 that my heads will be shipped between 1-2 days. But, on 2010.01.26, i wrote a new message because my heads hadn't been shipped yet ! They told me that they were "rush orders" now !!! but i think that it's Miyuki head who creates some problem ! Are they some difficulties with this head??? I don't understand because i haven't received yet a tracking number for my heads on 2010.02.10 ! They are so slow to answer ! I love Miyuki heads and i hope that my order will be here soon
I'm also in the waiting game with Glorydoll. Two months and counting, several lies about shipping dates. It's very true about the 'We'll ship next week' message that has nothing to do with actual shipping date. And as Milka, I got the same message about 'rush orders.' I don't know who it is precisely getting rush orders, as no one seems to be getting anything. I knew I was in for a wait, though I hadn't known they would just out and out lie. Not sure what the hold up is for a blank head; I imagine they're a very small workforce, but as I said earlier, I seriously can't figure out what the hold up is, as almost everything on the site is out of stock, and they don't seem to actually be shipping anything out.
Wow, that is very disappointing to hear Milka and Junkets This is why it is making the decision to order from them so very difficult as even from a few replies in this thread I'm feeling both the pull for yes and no. I do hope you receive your dolls soon and I hope that by the time I am in the position to make my order they will be out of their "rush" and will not have to constantly lie about when the doll will be shipped. I don't mind waiting a bit of extra time for my doll to get to me, it's simply knowing that it will ship out is the worry.
So,I'm not sure where else to post this but I thought here was appropriate. I placed my order for my Mitsuki last night but when it came to send my payment through paypal, I was told their account was currently unable to recieve funds. I recieved another paypal address from a different user who was having the same issues and once again attempted to send the payment as she said it had worked fine for her. But as before, I am told the account cannot recieve any funds. This is very disheartening I'm wondering if anyone else had any troubles similar to this when it came time to pay? Or any idea why an account would be unable to recieve money?
i don't think glorydoll's bad or anything. their shipping seem really slow, but i guess in the end, everyone gets their dolls.
That's strange O.O The second Paypal account worked out for me. Maybe they have some issues with paypal? I don't know. Anyway, they should reply soon, since they visit Q&A board once a week and last time they answered on thursday. *and yes, I am stalking them since I know what they're capable of :/
Yes, when I tried to send with that address you gave me I was given the same message that it wasn't working You're right that it has been almost a week since they last replied to their board so I'm crossing my fingers and toes that it'll be tonight or tomorrow that they respond to me with good news and a method for me to pay them so I can get the order for my boy underway. He's honestly one of my dream dolls so I'm really trying to do anything to make this work (and I wish they had a phone number listed so badly as I know a friend in Korea who said she'd be willing to help me out any way she can).
Usually when paypal closes an account like that it's because there are quite a few disputes against it, and with this rash of shipping lies we've seen from glorydoll lately that doesn't surprise me that there would be claims made by people that maybe don't know about the long waits.
That may be right or the other reason may be that they have blocked PP account because they're not registered as a company and they cannot accept larger sum of monies. Same case was in past with Luts O.O
I'm really hoping that this is he case which can be resolved very easily by them as opposed to dealing with alot of disputes. I just find it very odd that both of their accounts are having this issue, the second only unable to recieve funds very recently.
It's very true about the 'We'll ship next week'! As I have say in the topic that I have open here: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?362840-Glorydoll.-New-dolls-!-!&p=6138435#post6138435 They tell me the same words when I ask about a simple question about new dolls... Now I'm very scared at idea of buy a Limited doll! XD
Wanted to bump this up to see if I could get any more information. I think there are moe buyers here on the forum than who actually post in the feedback thread which is very frustrating as if they did I could have a clearer idea on what is to be expected. Over a week ago, without my asking, I recieved an email telling me my doll had been shipped but as usual with no EMS number. However, since then they have not answered their boards as I attempt to ask for one and as he's not here yet I have to assume that email was false. I am starting to get a little antsy (mostly at the lack of communication) but I'm still willing to give them th benefit of the doubt if any of the people who were waiting before has recieved their items.
I ordered on June 6 and got my doll (a limited) on September 4. Glorydoll does email a delivery notice to you when they ship the doll but they don't give tracking numbers.
They give you a tracking number if you send them a message on the Q&A board. Thing is your doll usually arrives by the time they reply.
Hello! Today I ordered Glorydoll's Goth Louis 5th edition (finally, finally, finallyyyyyy! ) and I just want to warn everyone who is going to order from them about their email-adress. I was not able to send my mails to them when I wanted help, I just received an answer that said that "I could not send the message to the following adress" and it also said permanent error :/ But luckally it worked out at last, anyway :3
