Genericon 2017 Panel and possible meetup?

    1. Hey Everybody, I'm going to be doing a panel at Genericon, a weekend long anime/scifi/video-gaming convention held at RPI in Troy, NY from Friday, March 3 to Sunday, March 5. The panel is called "BJD for You and Me". The panel is at 2:00pm in Panel Room 2 on Sunday. Before the panel, would anyone consider doing a doll meetup? I'm thinking of holding the meet up at one of the tables before The Great Hall. Does anyone have any other ideas for the meetup? This is my first time hosting a meetup, i'm not sure when is the "normal" time for any meetup at a convention.

    2. I was wondering if it was worth attending Genericon. I live in Troy, I have no good excuse NOT to! I hadn't thought that there were enough doll people here, but I am clearly wrong....and happily so.

    3. It is amazing there if your interested in the Anime, the Sci-fi, the Video-gaming, and the Japanese Culture. Plus the BJD panel that I mentioned in the beginning of the thread, is packed full of the hobby's history, ways to get the best deal on a doll, and more. Also, I am doing a Q&A session to the audience about the hobby.

    4. Do they have day passes or is it $30 regardless? I couldn't tell from their website

    6. I thought they did a "pre"-genericon event that's free.
      Either that or you can sneak in or just grab another room on campus
