20–39cm Dolls Gem of Doll-Violet 1/6

My little Violet arrived today. I'm generally happy with her, but I think not as happy as I could be. Oh well! She's cute

Box was well packaged and protected, as has been my experience with Gem.


Gem's box had a little bow around it because it was stuffed pretty full!


I bought a 1/4 outfit as well (Cecilia's). And there's the first glimpse of the doll!


She's got her battle armor lol. And she came in the cutest little panties, I've never seen a non-fullset doll come with more than basic white underthings before! I regret not getting a better picture of them.

Here she is fully unwrapped! The eyes she came with were quite nice, one of the best I've gotten with a doll, but I had different ones for her anyways.

Her lashes are definitely too long. I might have to try to trim them.

I'm not super happy with her faceup. It feels much lower quality than I would expect, the lower lashes especially are thick and just don't look right to me. The eyebrow placement seems off. Maybe I'm too picky, I don't know. There's a strange shiny texture to her as well, you can't really see it in the picture.

It seems like my first Gem of Doll doll was basically perfect, and since then I haven't felt that the others I've gotten have lived up to that standard. It's a little disappointing, but overall they are still good quality.

The last thing I'll vent about is a resin color mix-up I had. It's mostly my own fault, but I do feel frustrated about it. Long story short, my first GoD was milk peach pink, ordered through a dealer. GoD had a head sale event, I bought three heads from them direct. Milk peach pink was not an option on their site, I recklessly selected mia pink assuming it would be the equivalent color. It was not. I realized this too late and started making plans to buy a second doll body, but waited until I received the heads. When I did get the heads... they looked the same color as my original doll! I thought, jeez, the resin colors are similar enough that I can use them all together just fine! So I went ahead and ordered this doll, Violet, also in Mia pink.

Violet is mia pink. The heads I received were not mia pink. Mia pink is undoubtedly a different color than milk peach pink. So now I have one body and four heads in (presumably) milk peach pink, and one body and one head in mia pink. Am I going to order another body in milk peach pink at some point? Possibly! The entire point of getting more heads was so they could be interchangeable, and I just got a second body so some of the heads could be friends and hang out together. ajgbdskgujbskdjgb

Anyways. There's my adventure. Please enjoy two cuties hanging out. I still need to work on finding Violet's angles, but I hope you accept this for now.
