40–49cm Dolls Gem of Doll Hades Fullset

I wouldn’t really say this was an impulse buy…after all, I’d been searching to shell this character for over a decade! But that morning when I was innocently perusing the Den of Angels News forum (as one does because we like to generally keep up with things,) I truly wasn’t looking to buy. But when I saw him, suddenly there was my character 100%. My jaw instantly dropped and I fired off an inquiry to order from BJDivas so fast, I swear smoke was rising from my keypad! One long but extremely easy layaway later he was mine!

So here is my tree spirit dryad, Willow. One corner of the box was a little banged up in spite of being double boxed, but it was packaged so extremely well, everything was in pristine condition. And I have too many dolls to keep boxes anyway, so it was no big deal. But wow, that pillow was the most gorgeous one I’ve ever received (my cats are currently sleeping on it as we speak.)



Willow is my first Gem of Doll, and I must say the company did not disappoint…just wow! I have a fairly large collection of BJDs from many great companies, but even I was amazed by the quality of this doll. His resin is gorgeous, the company faceup is sheer perfection and so detailed. Even his body blushing is amazing. Everything in his outfit is so beautifully made with great attention to detail. Basically 2 enthusiastic thumbs up from me for Gem of Doll!



Here he is in his fullset. The design is creative and unique, and the details are truly amazing.



My specific vision for him called for replacing his wig with this green/blonde one by Luts, however.

 

Thanks! Yes, I’d forgotten all about the black nails in the months I was paying him off, so when I opened the box I was like, “Wow! Cool!”…a pleasant surprise indeed.

The outfit is truly amazing…so much detail! But everything is kind of sewn in a connecting way so it’s very easy to put on too, which is a big plus.

Thank you! Yep, my bad! I had a minor brain malfunction there, but I’ve corrected it now. Don’t we all wish Dream of Doll would come back at some point…their dolls were so amazing.
