You should check the the Character Study by Michael Paulus. Now those are creepy. Who would have thought how disfigured some cartoon characters are.
.... I had to read that article over a few times but yes, she really is injecting herself with horses blood. The reasons are quite insane, although romantic, but she is almost certainly going to become very, very ill.... o.o Reminds me of this serial killer I read about who injected himself with rabbit blood to keep the "Nazi's poison" from drying up his blood. Proper mental. :s

There are only joints at the knuckles, and they are quite visible, being pinned hinge joints. There are no joints in the fingers themselves, as they are all one piece. This drumming fingers type of automata has been done before, but this version is top shelf, with the cast hand and fingers, metal cams, and nicely finished wooden base.
