Just as a heads up, the mods might lock this thread while they review FukaDoll for topicality. But in the meantime, I’ve noticed them too. I think they look really good and I’ve pre-ordered LingLuo! It’s wonderful to be in time to catch the launch event on TaoBao and take advantage of the discounts and extras included . I love seeing more resin 1:3 anime/manga type dolls coming onto the market. I like the style a lot but not enough to get a vinyl doll as a matter of material and construction preference.

 

It’s on until the 20th of this month, so there’s still a reasonable amount of time to take advantage of the preorder on TaoBao.

 

It is! Certainly I am pretty excited. Benefits of the preorder include a 300 yuan discount on the full doll, the complete set of the optional magnetic hands, a pair of high heel feet, a carrying bag, free in-China express shipping, and there’s the possibility of buying additional chests and heads. I think I’m going to get an additional head because I have noticed something I’d like to modify on the LingLuo sculpt. That’s one of the things I like about resin, it’s not all that difficult to modify.

I’ll have to reserve judgement until she arrives obvs, but something about her upper lip is bothering me. There’s not much definition or detail in the whole of that area so it looks kind of swollen and strange to my eye. It may very well be one of those things which can be corrected through a face-up alone with no need to get the sandpaper out, but I’ll see.

 

My doll itself isn’t ready yet, but FukaDoll have already sent out a sort of proof of purchase/deposit card, a teacup/saucer/spoon set which appears to be a preordering gift, and possibly also the nightgown I bought too! (I can’t quite tell from the photo my forwarder sent.) I’ve got my fingers crossed that they’ll manage to make it to me before Christmas, but really I’ll be very happy for them to not get lost in the holiday season post.

I ordered LingLuo through a proxy so I assume it'll take longer, but I'm excited to see everyone's girls start rolling in.

FukaDoll has posted notifications about order fulfilment starting today and I’ve been asked to verify my shipping address so it looks like my LingLuo might be on her way sooner rather than later, though she’ll have to make a stopover at my forwarder first. Still, that’s pretty exciting!

That’s what I was expecting! I think they were purposefully looking to produce their “comic girls” in equivalents to Dollfie Dream skintones.

I saw that someone order one via taobao ? Could you please the link ? I did a quick search on bhiner to no avail. And i'm curious about the price too.

 

There are distinct preordering periods. I’m not seeing a listing on TaoBao that looks right for putting the deposit down on one of them, although I think technically the latest ordering period should still be open. Maybe they closed down orders a day or two early? Sorry I can’t be of more help. The listings for ordering one of the original three girls were pretty obvious when I did it, so I think you might have to wait for next time?

 

Okay, so having taken a look at their instagram, it looks like they haven’t opened up international sale for the new girls yet, but will do soon (April 30th to May 7th?) via an app they link to in their post about the new girls?

Edit to add: I paid 2,380 RMB for my girl in November, which was the special first ordering period discounted price. I have no idea if the pricing on them will stay around that much or not.

Out of curiosity, does anyone watching this thread have one of the girls in the “General muscle” skintone? I’m wondering if it might be a good match for Angell-Studio’s “general muscle” (aka solid butter.) The half-whitening I have isn’t bad, but I’m always up for chasing an even closer match.

 

I'm curious has anyone ordered "Ruri"? She's so pretty I've been tempted to get her.

 

Can anyone work out wehther the Fuka doll boy, Ryo is available to order yet? I just cn't work it out.

 

I believe you missed the first ordering period for him. Another one will come around. Fukadoll seems to only sell on the basis of preorder rounds and it’s largely a matter of keeping an eye on their weibo account for announcements.

Hi everyone! I'm here to ask the same thing as @Pyoko . Any news on whether there will be another pre-sale for the boy (Ryo)? I was too broke last year so I passed up the pre-order

 

The Good News: The artist has mentioned on their Instagram account that they are planning on opening up a preorder for the boy again at the end of September! And right now they are doing the third preorder for their girl.
The Bad News: They seem to be using a different platform for selling their dolls, something called “V电”. Anyone interested could always try reaching out to them on TaoBao.

Since they mentioned they plan to do so end of September I am afraid I might miss him if they only announce on Chinese platforms

 

@Pyoko I haven't seen anything yet, but if it had already been released, Christina (newcloversinging) would most likely have posted a pre-sale, but nothing has happened yet. Maybe the artist will reschedule.
