Theme From Concept To Completion

I got one of my first resin doll.


She doesn't have her horns in doll version because I decided I liked her better as an elf than a satyr.

 

Here is my vampress Riven,shes missing her default outfit which i still have to make but all in all im very pleased with the similarities(yes the drawing was done by me)

My dolls were all characters first, so I've definitely got concept and completion for all of them~!

I used the default photo of the Iplehouse Luna, since she isn't done yet. I just didn't want to leave her out. ♥

Sadly the wig he wore with that braid has died (not really, I just hate it), and I'm modding him a new one, so until then he's stuck in a fur wig...The new one is a better color too, so I really need to get on that XD

Well I don't have my dolls yet, but I wanted to share my concepts.

The first one is Radicelle (lavender grey from Jpopdolls)
I am trying to get away from the colors I seem to always gravitate towards for my dolls (pink,red,black) so I decided to go for something completely different! It will be interesting to see how it goes with her skintone! I know I did not do her beautiful face justice!

The dress, wig is similar color. I hope! Lol

and this one is DollChateau Ada:

She will come completely blank, so I kinda sketched out what I want her faceup to look like. I even bought her some laser-cut "butterfly wing" false lashes!
I got her a white mohair wig and a custom made red and white "elf" hat,and bought her a dress that is red with white mushrooms on it!

I've got a few. All my dolls are either based on Marvel characters or my own comic OCs. I'll share the Marvel ones since they're mostly recognizable. The art is mine.

The first doll I modded myself was Jono (Chamber). Since I couldn't really fill him with fire, like his original design, I decided that he'd managed to heal himself to a point so, wherever the blast area was, there would be a scar.


I'm still undecided on the chest blaster. I haven't added it at this point but I might in the future.



The next comic dolls I did were Shatterstar and Rictor


Here they are in doll form. The hardest part was finding the right colour wig for Shatty.


Nightcrawler has been the most time consuming of all the Marvel concept dolls because of the amount of modding required.

I have quite a few of these around, since my two major doll groups are based on either a set of OCs I've had for ages, or on existing characters, so each has a starting point I'm trying to match.

The OCs are actually in a period of being refreshed and revamped a bit, so I've only got the first to share for now, but I'll definitely come back around with the rest as I finish them off too. To start, though, here's an old drawing of Esa (I think from around 2002? These characters really have been with me a very long time...)
