From Chen to Zuko.

    1. I am finally starting the faceup on my AoD Chen, Zuko.
      (as in Prince Zuko from Avatar the TV show, not movie.)

      I was gong to use epoxy to add texture to his famous scar, and to close his scarred eye a bit, but I decided to wait on that. (I dont want to ruin his lovely face! lol)

      (He has on Elise's wig.)

      So I started on my first faceup ever. I first used watercolor pencils, then chalk pastels.

      That's all I have so far... Im planning on using elmer's glue and building up texture and also buying him some jointed hands. :)
      Any advice or tips would be great. Its my first faceup after all. ^^

    5. Here he is after his lips and lining. his eyebrow and liner turned out darker than I wanted, but its okay.

    10. He looks so good!! The scar looks spot on (I really, really, love it), and I love his fire bending pose. You did an amazing job, I can't believe he was your first face-up.

    12. Great job! how are you going to do his hair? Are you going to drill a hole in his head cap and fasten the pony tail inside? That might give the best result...Do keep us up to date!

    13. Im trying to figure out how to make a ponytail... I could do that, but Im not sure if I want to drill him.
      I was thinking maybe velcro attched to a ponytail, and maybe some wire to support it?
      For now I will make his longer hair style with fur. :)

    17. He's cute! I love it!!! I'm deciding to do my Zuko in SD scale instead of MSD (but I might finish him so i can have a mini-zuko. <3).

      Are you going to do his outfit too or have him wear normal clothes? I can't wait to see everything come together, wig and all. ^^

    19. I'm making him his costume, hopefully in time for the Atlanta Anime Convention next weekend, and normal clothes during the rest of the time. He's borrowing another one of my doll's bodies at the moment until I get the body I want for him though haha

    20. This is so cool...a coincidence that I am also in the process of creating a Zuko. So we'll have an army of 3?

      I'm making mine out of an Iplehouse Lee. My friend is doing the faceup and I decided to go with a realistic look. For his wig I'm using a black fur wig for how he looks later in the series. I'm commissioning someone to also make the outfit he wears when he joins Team Avatar (my sewing skills are just not there).

      Can't wait to see how your Zukos progress!

    30. i love the faceup. i don't think you're going to have to close the scarred eye at all. The darker coloring of the scar makes it look a tad bit more closed when compared to the other lighter eye.
