Friends2BMade clothes, Tons of pictures, great guide to fit! :)

I've checked the BAB in Orlando about a month ago and they don't have anything like this. I wish they did. The closest F2BM store is up in the Panhandle so no go there.

The outfits are really cute! I wonder if someone could call the store and have it shipped to them?

 

I have just ordered a Latidoll Blue Girl (So excited! Actually cannot WAIT for her to arrive! ^__^) and I have heard that Friends2bMade clothes are a good fit for tops and dresses for Lati blues, Narae and Unoa and other slim MSDs.

Just a few questions - firstly, does this apply to girl & boy clothes?
And secondly - how does the underwear fit? Does anyone know? Can't find underwear to fit my incoming girl anywhere - maybe I'm looking in the wrong places! (BJD n00b!)

I went to the Downtown Disney store to check out the Friends to be Made stuff recently and I am actually disappointed in the quality.

The styles look nice, I like the colors they used and the styles of some of the outfits. They seem to be fitting a lot of minis nicely, I just wish the quality could be a bit better.

Having said that, I do think it is a nice way to get inexpensive things and to add more variety to the wardrobe, but they are made for toys for little girs and feel/look that way.

Things I did not like:

I find the quality of most fabric/materials used in making the outfits to be poor. It feels like clothes for toys and not miniture people outfits. There are also a lot of shiny stuff, sequins, and bows.

The velcro bothers me but most of it can be easily replaced, but the pants open in a strange way (velcro along the legs).

Overall I find the quality to be better than a lot of things you see at Walmart but quite a bit less than, say, the American Girl dolls' outfits.

 

Well, most of the clothes are only $3-5. I agree the quality has been a bit uneven lately, but I love many of my pieces - the white cami, black sparkle cami, the A-line stretch dresses, the super cuddly soft terry robes.

Thank you Eliz-Rivenstar, i9i9, and Carolyn for sharing the infor. I have been toying with the idea of ordering some F2BM outfit.

I haven't seen it around any toystore though. It may be because I'm not in the US/ U.K. Besides Downtown Disney (as mentioned by i9i9), may I know which stores it can be usually found in? Toys R Us?

 

Friends2BeMade clothing is only found at their own stores. You can find a list of them on their website. It is super easy to order from their website, though.

However, I just wanted to add a plug for their things. The quality isn't that bad and having enough AG outfits to open my own AG store....seriously, I would say F2BM quality is fine. (The quality of AG items has really gone downhill in recent years.) Anyway, it is a great way to get a lot of separates for very little money. At least you would have something to clothe your girl when she arrives and if you were unhappy with it, it would buy you some time until you could get something else.

1. Search the Marketplace mini clothes section for: f2bm or friends2bmade

2. Check the group orders section a couple of times per week for a Friends2BMade group order that is willing to ship items overseas - someone in the US will order from the website for a group of people, then forward their items to them - that might save on shipping.

Their stuff is in a lot of Build a Bear stores, I'm not sure if they are everywhere, but you can easily get them online or ask someone to get some things for you. If you decide to get some, then I would highly suggest a group order that would look into the discounts Build a Bear offers.

One could easily get $5 off $25 coupons and divide up the items into multiple transactions of around $25 each to use a coupon for each one. Then if you can get someone who can show an annual pass to Disneyland (doesn't have to be theirs, from friends or family is fine) to order from Downtown Disney then you get another 10% discount on every transaction. This way for $100 worth of things it would end up being $72, not a bad discount

I do think the clothes look cute and I agree that they are a good value for what they cost. Not putting down the line at all ((I hope my post didn't come across that way), just wanted to bring up something I have observed that haven't been really said yet. They are inexpensive toy outfits designed for young girls and it shows in both quality and sometimes design, I would love the line much better if they would have choosen slightly better fabrics.

 

Oh, I love these clothes - I have them and they fit my Soul Kid Ahee, as well as my Liebchen (although a little loose on her). The pants are too short, but the skirts are great. I also have a pair of capri pants that are really cute on her!
They also fit Unoa and Narae.

 

Alrighty... I took some pictures of my Kid Delf Cherry girl, Shahari, in her F2BM clothes. She's had them for ages now I just hadn't gotten around to taking the pictures and posting them.

She's on the old kid delf body, not the real skin body.


This outfit is really cute. The top bugs me a little with how the seam shows but that should easily be fixed with a bit of ironing... I'm just lazy.


Here she's wearring the white cami we've seen a zillion times already, and pink capris. The capris have a great fit. As you can see they sit really low on her hips but I think that's one of my favorite bits about them.


This top is one of my least favorite things in the bunch. It's kinda short and puffs out on the sides alot. It looks cute from the right angles though.


LOVE these. She's gotten a ton of wear out of them so, that's why they're a bit wrinkled.


Adorable top! It's like a super cute oversized sweater however, Shar hasn't been wearring it much lately since Inanna, my Soony, looks killer in it as well.


I love anything blue on my little Shahari and this dress is really no exception. It's super cute and looks terribly sweet on my little brat.


This outfit was one of the outfits I most hoped would work on Shar and it didn't really. The top looks a bit odd on her body for reasons I'm not even sure of and the skirt sits REALLY high as you can see... however...


If you pair the skirt with this top (silver belt thing was removed) it becomes one of my favorite outfits.


We've seen the undies a million times in this thread already but I took a picture anyway. The bra is pointless on the old KD body since they don't really have anything up top... I bought it for the undies, which are adorable.


And last but not least... the pink dress. The one I got is sewn weird. One shoulder strap is shorter than the other which makes for a pretty awkward looking dress. It's also pretty tight and shows her torso joint which I'm not overly fond of.

 

Okay, I hijacked my other thread which had Friends 2B Made, Hopscotch Hill and Fashion Angels clothes but since I acquired more FA clothes, I ended up over quota for pictures. So, I cut out F2BM and HH and made a new thread with them, while updating the other thread with FA stuff.

I bought some Friends 2B Made clothes a while back and, knowing there are always questions as to what fits whom, I thought I'd post a few pics of my girl in some. For the record, Laika is a Blue Fairy Xiao. I also have Hopscotch Hill in this post to let others know what else can fit.. First let me say that I only own a Blue Fairy Tiny Fairy (non-blossom body) so I can't vouch for fit on any doll that has a more mature torso. If you look up F2BM or Friends 2B Made (or really, any combination), there is quite a large number of threads pertaining to fit on other dolls.

Hello Kitty layered shirt and white lace leggings: Shirt fits great but is the tiniest bit cropped (I'm guessing the F2BM dolls are shorter waisted). Shirt closes by a velcro strip up the back. Looks adorable and is a must for any HK fan. The leggings are too short but make great 'long shorts'. They are, however, see-through so underwear or a long top might be recommended if you don't like your doll flashing anyone.


Boys skull tee and beaded khaki capris: Both fit great. Carpis close in the back with a short strip of velcro, shirt has velcro the whole length of the back. Please note that Laika is not wearing any underwear in this pic. I did try either the capris or the gauchos (below) with underwear and it did fit once they were one but it was a bit of a struggle to get the pants over the underwear and it was, obviously, tighter fitting. I'd suggest no underwear with the pants (not like they'll be flashing anyone in these anyway).


Cool flower top and black leggings: Again, the black leggings, like the white lace ones, are too short to be 'leggings' but fit well otherwise and are great 'long shorts'. The top looks great but is a tight across the chest. Any mature doll won't be able to wear this. It fits but it's a good thing she doesn't eat or she'd pop out! Closes with a stirp of velcro down the back.


Khaki gauchos (and HK shirt again): The gauchos fit great. These close with a short strip of velcro in the back. Again, no underwear worn for this shot and I recommend not using underwear (except on a thinner doll like Sharmin or the Unoas).


Santa outfit: For the fun of it I also bought the Santa outfit (for her brother to wear but he's not home yet). It actually fits really well, just need to add a pair of black boots (I forgot to put some on her). The hat that came with the outfit does NOT fit as the F2BM dolls have huge noggins in comparison but it does fit pretty well on my Chiwoo elf so guess who'll be wearing it this Xmas?

 

I am currently waiting on a buttload of clothes from F2BM and I will be sure to post here how it all fits. They are actually bought for my MNF but since I havent ordered her yet I will have to wait a while until I can try things on her. Luckily I have a dollmore girl at home that will be able to try on some of the things when it arrives.

Keep watching the store - that is a summery top and things often go away and come back in the shop. I have picked up many tops that disappeared and then came back in stock.

I bought the Violet fairy dress for my MSd girl. It's a tight fit but is pretty nice. There is padding in the bust but look natural. I like the lace up on the front.

I emailed Usagi a bunch of info in regards to fit. I just got a Volks MSD and reported whatever that fit her in too plus any DoC fits of what I have.

Btw, Volks MSDs and DoCs have about the same size torso/body, so most stuff that fits DoC should fit Volks too.

On a DollZone Shoyo:

The skirt goes to about mid-thigh, maybe a bit longer.

I think this one's my favorite combo. The skirt is about the same length as the red one.

I have the Snow Day PJs and Purple robe, too, but I haven't gotten any pictures of them.
They fit pretty well; the PJs fit as a tank top and capris and the robe is wide, but about like my own. 3/4 sleeves and about knee length.

The Black& White lace shirt could do with a little alteration around the waist and lengthwise, but the latter isn't anything a black lace trim can't fix. It shows her bellybutton when she's standing up. xD

 

I keep forgetting to add the pictures I took. I will see if I cant get it done tonight.
I love seeing how all this stuff fits on dolls, looks so awesome!!

 

I have some pics I thought I would share. They are on a Musedoll Ciel (SD sized). The bottoms would not fit, but some of the tops fitted perfectly. 9 The only bottom that fitted was the tutu from the ballerina set.

Yay I finally got to it, here is the stuff I bought from F2BM on my Dollmore Noir Asha (MSD).
This is a older type body though, shortly after this release they added a elbow joint aswell, so although I dont think any of the dollmore measurements actually changed, I cant guarenty it.

Anyway Outfit one!

I love this outfit, it doesnt look well on this photo but it is abselutely awesome and fits perfectly, even the straps go over her shoulders. Please note that I forgot to take off her bloomers, these are from dollheart so NOT f2bm stuff.


Second two items!

I LOVE the golden shirt, it fits like a glove, the top part is slightly padded but it only adds to the outfit, its just perfect on her.
The Skirt fits but slightly higher then I would have liked, also rides up abit so better be prepaired to wear undies.

Pardon my girls baldness from now on, the wig was not really ment for her and I didnt wana ruin it by constantly putting it back on.


Gold and black shirt!

Although I really liked this shirt it wasnt as good as I had hoped, atleast not on this girl. Its very pretty still, and I like it very much.


Red shirt

This is one the only item I was REALLY dissapointed with, hence I didnt even take the tag off. I hope it will look better on my MNF but I am not very confident. The fact that its padded makes the top part look odd on a girl with even the slightest bust (and anyone that owns a dollmore girl knows that they have noooo bust at all really). I was surprised since I had seen alot of really nice pictures of it before.


Hello Kitty outfit

I love love love this whole outfit! The pants might seem abit loose but they are perfect hip huggers, they stay on really well and look really gorgeous! The shirt is so cute! It fits nicely, there is some velcro on the bottom of the sleave (bottom part of the bow) so you dont even have to worry about hands not fitting. Also the same is true for the pants, the bottom tight part has velcro to open it.


Brown and pink shirt

I love this shirt! Its abit baggy though but that is precicely what I was hoping for. Very cute and will no doupt fit like a loose shirt on the slimer MSD's and as a very nice tight one on the larger MSD's since its nice streachy material.


Blue shirt

As you can see this shirt is slightly wide on her, but I believe that if taken in slightly will look just awesome. Again its not really ment for her so I am hoping that it will look better on my MNF as a baggy shirt.


Purple dress

Last but not least! Purple dress! Its abit loose, but I think it looks kinda cute anyway, I kinda like the butterfly so I will probably leave it on. Although it is maybe a tad on the short side I just think that it will work really well on my MNF (if and when she ever gets here).


Also! I didnt take any pictures but I also bought the hello kitty set of underwear. Although I did manage to get it on, I wouldnt say it fit. The legs were really really tight and I was worried about breaking the elastic in them, and it was totally unusable because it went straight into her thigh joint (inbetween the top part of the leg and the bottom part of the torso). I would not recomend it for use because it would ride up into that joint all the time. Really impractical. That being said it does look very cute, so if you dont mind buying it just to have the doll stand still in it, this is your pair. But if your looking for a practical pair of undies for a older style body of DM, then its definetly not this.

Anyway my report done now, I will probably spam pictures again of the same items when my MNF arrives and share what I think of the fit.

 

ok i got the bed,the purple duvet with sheet and pillow, Diva chair and beenbag all are in perfect proportion for my Girls Msd Dollmore Pado and Dim Benetia.
also i got the Silk pjs, White vest, Hankerchief Skirt, Hello Kitty Underwear, Hello kitty top and bag and also the nighty and the pink lace skirt so heres the pics sorry about the lighting but i took the pics at night XD

















the clothes also fit my Dim Benetia but dont look as good on her as the outfits i have dont really go with her style and some of the tops (pjs) are tight over her boobs lol
also i fogot to say that on the nighty the ribbons were too long so i just snipped the cotton holding the bows in place and re tyed them as to how i wanted them but its simple to do. XD

The skirt fits well. The jacket fits OK, but the lapels are a little "chunky" and don't quite lay flat. Cute none the less. The rock star top fits well, though a little looser than I'd like.



Angel top and khaki capris. Both fit very well.



Hello Kitty top and bag and pink tiered skirt. This outfit is so cute. All fits well, though the bag is a bit over sized, but then I have bags in real life that are bigger (proportionately)


Hailey (Lati Green Lea):

I haven't seen a lot of people trying F2BM on their lati greens. Some stuff fits great. Other stuff not so much. This outfit fit my girl perfectly. White shorts are a teensy bit too big, but they work.

I bought 2 dresses from F2BM for my DZ Feilian, Moth. One made a better top then a dress, it's a bit short but I love it.



And a ballerina dress that is totaly adorble, I just took the giant bow off

If you mean the pink rock star ones, they fit my little leroi Illya. They'd definitely fit a narae not they'd be too small I think for an MSD.

 

Do all of the pants velcro down the side?

 

It depends on the pants. Some have a small piece of velcro in the back, some velcro down the side, and some have two strips of velcro, one down the back of each leg.

 

Does anyone have the cheongsam? I want to know how well it fits a DZ girl. Thanks!

 

Thanks Eva~ Is there anyway to tell what type they are just by looking on the site? Some of the pants are really cute & would make cute capris (I believe they end up being a little short on the sprites right?), but I don't think I would like the velcro down the leg...just in the back should be ok though. I'm thinking I will be ordering 2 outfits & an extra shirt. Some of the tops/skirts I really love are sold out at the moment though. Does anyone know how often they restock?

 

Okay, here it goes. XD I just got a new body, so I pulled out all of my F2bM clothes in addition to my newly arrived items. The following is a Limhwa ForYou on an Angell-Studio body (I apologize for the pictures where her head is offset from her neck... I am still working out the kinks of the headback I made her x.x):


Super cute! A bit large, but I think that adds to the charm of it. I thought about taking it in, but for the style I actually like it large.


The shirt is too big, but the skirt fits perfectly and sits well on her hips.


Love it! The shirt is tight in a good way and it closes all the way in the back. The skirt also fits like a dream.


It is a little wide, but the ribbon tie fixes that. What more irks me is how silly the padding looks. This looks fantastic on my LittleFair Ami, though.


Love. It. The top is short, tight, and sexy and the skirt sits low on the hips.


Love it again! It could be a little tighter, but for the style I like it loose.


Love it again! It just barely doesn't close, but I may remedy that by replacing the velcro in that one spot with eyelets. I tried this on a friend's Mini Fee girl and it fit perfectly.

 

yeah, i love that chinese outfit on my MNF girl. the skirt is just fantastic.

 

F2BM shirts on my girl:





She is a Minifee head on a Soulkid Double girl body. Both shirts are velcroed a bit tight to fit her more snugly.

 

I'm wondering if the cheongsam would fit? o.o I personally think the neck is probably to wide.. but I really like how they look and would love to have one for one of my girls. D:

I love this guide! It helped me a lot when I was buying clothes for my Sprite. Some of the things I bought her are a little tight or loose, but everything more or less fits. I got her that outfit with the plaid skirt, but I cut the straps offf because I didn't like them. I also got her the green rockstar set and modified the straps on the top. Now it fits her perfectly, as do all of the shirts I bought her. I can get some pictures in a few days, probably, if ayone wants to see any of the outfits on her.

 

I would be interested. Especially if she has the mature body. Seems like most of the Sprites that have been pictured are the less mature.

I know I saw the pirate outfit on someones doll & it looked adorable (once again on a less mature body). It is on my "wishlist" for my doll as well. And apparently there is a store about 2 hrs from me. Now to decide if it is cheaper/more convenient to order online or make the trip to the store. O.o I think my friend actually wanted to go to that mall anyway, so I might just suggest she go with me.

I had ordered the cheongsam for my Petsha the other day, and it arrived today. It's really tight around the bum so she can't wear panties under it. It's also tight around the chest and the neck is a bit wide.
