I have been searching everywhere for decent patterns for my Doll Leaves Kiki but I am not having much luck. Everything is all too big or puki size. Does anyone know of some good ones?
I've been working with patterns designed for Ken dolls - the pants are too long, but the waist is right. Same with the sleeves - they'll be too long, but the chest and shoulders are about the same. Works pretty well for Yo-SDs
if you can find patterns made for the Pukifee dolls they are pretty close to the right size. You may need to make them just a bit larger, but otherwise they work well. I bought an Adams-Harris Pukifee pattern to make jeans for my Doll Leaves Kiki and I just needed to add a little extra - like maybe 1/8th of an inch all the way around - possibly less.
Seconding Skyealloway's suggestion of Ken patterns. Look for older ones, old Ken is bulkier than new Ken. Patterns for vintage dolls work for some Yo SDs with a little tweaking and are pretty easy to find online. Look for stuff for 10 inch toddler/kid style dolls, though some adults work too. I've used reprinted Lil Miss Revlon patterns for my FD girl, and my gram has a stash of vintage patterns she's used for her boy. If you're not sure of the fit, cut out a sample in paper towel and pinch it around your doll, you can see if it will fit and draw directly on the towel where it needs tweaking without cutting into and messing up fabric.
