Sewing FREE "PATTERN" + tutorial: Slouchy beanie

Feb 1, 2018

I brought some new fabric and thought it would work well as a beanie!
So I decided to make it a slouchy one, this time.
I have a patten, made for an SD sized head, but I also made a bit of a tutorial on how to make your own pattern, as well as a tutorial for how to sew!
(I tried to make it as simple as possible - so, sorry if it might sound patronizing)

Here is how you make the pattern:

Here is the pattern I used (if you would rather downsize/print at smaller percentage for smaller heads, or compare patterns): PATTERN

      On a doll (off-topic model):
      Proper version:

      Old oversized version:

      RULES!
You may NOT sell these "patterns"!
You may NOT redistribute these "patterns"!

But feel free to edit the pattern to fit your liking (please credit me though) or sell your finished products.
I would love to see what you make, so please share your project or finished product here!

You can also find my other free patterns HERE

    2. Tutorial:

      Here is the main piece!
(You decide if you want to add a brim/edge to it - like I have here)

For the brim, sew the ends together
      [IMG]
      Then fold the brim together.

Fold the main piece together in the middle as well
      [IMG]

      Then sew the edges
      [IMG]

Next, make the sewn edges meet

    3. Then sew the other edges
      [IMG]

Main piece should now be done and look like this
      [IMG]

For the brim, place it with the "raw" edge on the outside of the beanies edge / Line the brim up with the edge of the beanie and sew!

      Done!
