Scarf+Hood for your SD* dolls! I had to switch to another jacket better suited for cold winter, that does not have a hood... With a lot of snow falling, a hood really helps shield your eyes. So I made the decision to make one, with a scarf included - a so called schoodie, for those new to the concept. And recently I sort of wanted one for my doll too... Just to sew something. So I down-scaled my own one to SD size. Spoiler I drew out a pattern, which you can find HERE Print at 100%. You have to add seam allowance. The front "flap" is optional too. Depending on how big you want the hood part to be, you may just need to just skip adding it to get it smaller or a more appropriate fit for your doll/liking. This is also the prototype/my first attempt. I think that the scarf part itself could be a bit thinner/not so wide, so to those whom it might concern, I put it in the tip, in red, on the pattern. *I wrote down the measurements to mine in the parentheses, so just divide by 4 to get MSD, and 6 to get YoSD, I guess... Perhaps you could experiment a bit! And add stuff - ears, eyes, reshape the scarf into paws or whatnot! Add pockets! (might look like oven-mitts, like mine....) Layer it as you please or keep everything in the same color! RULES! You may NOT sell this pattern! You may NOT redistribute this pattern! But feel free to edit the pattern to fit your liking (please credit me though) or sell your finished products. I would love to see what you make, so please share your project or finished product here! You can also find my other free patterns HERE
I'm totally going to give this a go once Winter rolls around down here. Right now it's a bit too warm.
I love these - so adorable! But I also have to ask.... is that the Dead Orbit symbol? Is the Schoodie your class item?
Ops, long overdue reply! Er yes, though it would be more fitting of a Hunter (I main as Warlock), I could not help myself but add a Dead Orbit symbol to mine. It also helped to determine how well appliques would work on the fabric. @SilentSongBird, I think it could work as a spring/autumn schoodie too. Depending on the fabric perhaps..? But it is a simple project, so hopefully you will make it before winter ends!
This is super cute! Thinking about increasing the seam allowance and using fluffy fabric like fur or just fleece.
I made one of these a few years back. I call them hood-hat-scarves but schoodie is a lot more concise haha. Mine didn't have mittens though. I might have to make a new one from this pattern.
This is such an adorable pattern! Now I really want to try to make one with cat ears :3 Thanks for sharing!
I'm totally gonna try this out to go with my own faux fur bear schoodie (omg, I finally know what to call it now!)
This is completely adorable! Thank you for sharing this! I think this'll be my kdrama and sew project tonight. ^-^
I used to have something just like this as a kid, this is super nostalgic. I think I'll be making one of these.
Awww, this is just too cute! Now if only I have some furry / soft fabric to make it with... Oh, it also reminds me of the anime Un-Go. One of the characters there.
So cute and yet so simple. thanks a lot for sharing! I love your patterns although not all of them will fit my dolls (poor flat chested girls) but I appreciate the work, love and effort you put in your pattern and tutorials! I would love to do a schoodie for one of my children in the future *__*
Awesome, I am so glad you have directions here because I was getting frustrated trying to print this and the Kigu pattern.
thanks for the pattern. i actually made some of these for kids in the pediatric ward at the hospital in children sizes of course
