Here is an easy to make, casual shirt pattern for Iplehouse SID man, here modelled by Felix and Griffin (Soom Ender head on SID body), which I created specifically for sharing with other BJD owners. The pattern and sewing instructions are in pdf (Adobe Reader) format for easy printing, and are located in my DropBox folder (document sharing facility). Just click on the links to open the files, and click on the big blue Download icon to download a copy. I love to see what you make if you use it! If you encounter any problems with downloading these files please PM me as I have just starting using Dropbox and want to know if anyone encounters problems. These are configured for A4 size paper but should print out OK on American letter size, just be sure to select 100% scale. Each pattern page has a 1 inch / 1 cm scale to check that it has printed to scale. http://www.dropbox.com/s/04koug6b2325tyf/SID man pattern for shirt.pdf https://www.dropbox.com/s/tn47yuryhykuiev/SID mans shirt sewing instructions.pdf
you´re awesome such a detailed instruction. i hope i find time around christmals to make my boy a shirt
I sew several cosplays for me but when it´s come to dolly clothes i act like newbie... I often need several trials to get what i want
Oh, that's just perfect! Thanks so much for sharing! I'll give it a try, not sure when I'll find the time, but once I do, I'll post pics for sure
Inl_akl, you are a sweetheart! Thank you for sharing this design / pattern with us. Very stylish. I am blown away by the generosity of the DoA community. I think this will be the first item of clothing that I will attempt to sew/make. Between this wonderful offering from you and the excellent tutorial posted by fellow DoA member, elve, on re-sizing human patterns, I feel I can now move forward with my sewing, which had hitherto been confined to just learning and practising hand sewing stitches. Finally, I am going to make something. THANK YOU!!! Oh, just one question: Is the pattern to scale and ready to be traced off as is, or will I need to enlarge it first?
Hi Gothico My pleasure, these guys are hard to find patterns for! The pattern is ready to use, just make sure you choose 100% scale when you print. There should be a 1 inch / 1 cm scale on each page, which you should check before using. cheers Ellen
"... these guys are hard to find patterns for!" Aye, they are. Your post caught my attention for that very reason. Not often you see the words "pattern" and "Iplehouse SID man" together in a subject heading! It was like finding a gold nugget. "The pattern is ready to use, just make sure you choose 100% scale when you print." Noted. "There should be a 1 inch / 1 cm scale on each page, which you should check before using." Ah! So that is what the scale is for. Thank you, Ellen.
do you possible have any pants patterns? i have been looking around and all i find is ways to measure :P im not very good at that i always end up with smaller or huge pants >.<
It's on my project list, I will move it to the top It might take me a month or so though as I'm not trained in pattern drafting.
Ooh this is exciting! Thank you for sharing this for free! I just ordered my iplehouse guy "last year" (technically January 1st in korea times) and I can't believe I can just follow the pattern without actually having my doll to take measurements from. Now it's just a matter of not being lazy and taking the time to make this. I'm in no way an expert in sewing, I haven't even completed my first daunting simple project, but it looks with this pattern you can modify it and add other things to it like longer sleeves (probably hard to do siince the hands don't make a fist) or adding other kinds of collar designs? Thank you for the christmast present, lnl_ankl!
I definetely try to do this, because my doll doesn't have any shirt! Thank you for sharing your knowledge
Lookit this! I found some time and tried my hands on this wonderful pattern: Thank you so much for sharing, it was fun to make!
I love this. In black organza with gold metallic buttons and satin collar and cuffs. I will sew this when I order my doll. I love it.
