Basic tutorial. It is a rather quick and easy procedure, but I figured, why not! Let me show you my steps! I used a very thin and stretchy fabric though, so I cannot guarantee that my pattern will work on all kinds... So I strongly advice you to experiment and see my pattern more as a foundation or starting point to get you... well, started. First ask your doll with the biggest butt to trace around, so you can get the pattern down: amirite? Or you could just use my pattern and cut 2 pieces Then sew like so on the wrong side of the fabric, if it has one: Then you fold it inside-out/right side out. And sew the bottom part shut - it can be as ugly of a stitch as you want! Because it will be on the inside of the hat. Just poke the bottom part in like so and fold up an edge and you should have your hat done! I hope to see many hats!
That's adorable! I can't wait to give it a try. I have an old sweater that would be great to use upcycled into a beanie. Thanks for posting the tutorial and pattern!
This is so simple and cute! As a thought cutting out small ovals, circles, or triangles and you can make it a animal ear beanie hat!
I love knitting beanies but this looks really good for sewing. I never thought of having it double thickness before.
I guess it's too small but it's the first thing I ever sew. Thanks, it was simple enough to get me started.
How clever! Thank you for sharing your patterns with us. I do believe my SD girl will be getting a beanie this weekend haha.
Did it last night! It's made from a small sock so it well, came out small lol. Just a practice one and I'm still making Leo wear it lol.
Yeah! Good idea! - Socks might indeed work very well for this project..! Well, at least for the tinies... Finding socks large enough might be an issue otherwise, yes.
Thank goodness there's a craft store 10 minutes away and I already have a discount card haha. I plan on getting materials for your kigurumi pattern and to make a better beanie lol.
