Sewing Free Dress Pattern

Dec 25, 2017

    1. This was my first attempt at scaling down a dress pattern I used on myself and it worked with great success!!
I left my trial dress without sleeves but you can make it with or without! You can also change the length of this skirt, midi, mini or maxi! Whatever you'd like!
The size is for a 43cm (1/4 size) but you can scale up or down!
      Pattern pieces :
      Doll Dress Pattern 1
      Doll Dress Pattern 2
      Finished product: [IMG]

      Materials:
Fabric (I used a cotton mix that had a bit of stretch)
Needle & Thread (or sewing machine)
      Elastic (for the waist band)
Any embellishments (bows, trims, or buttons)

You'll need a bit of sewing knowledge for this pattern!
I'll do my best to help if anyone has questions!

      Happy Holidays everyone!!

I hope that you will enjoy the outcome! And thank you so much!!
The fabric is by the brand "Doodles" and I found it at Joann's fabrics!

    11. Wonderful! (But you probably mean 43 cm, not inches.) Thanks for the pattern!

    16. My pleasure!! I love this dress!

    17. What process did you use to scale it down?

    18. I took an overhead photo of my dress pattern, traced it out on Photoshop on a transparent layer and printed it on varying sizes to discover which worked for my doll.

    19. That sounds easier than what I had expected. Was it hard to do? I did something similar for a wig cap pattern recently.

    20. You know unfortunately I had really good luck with my first pattern but my next two I have been working on I haven't had super great luck! I think it's all just a matter of getting it patterned right and finding out what size fits best. Printing the pattern on a 8.5x11 was too big and 5x7 was perfect when I made this dress that's on here currently.
So it's kind of hard but more like trial and error like everything else XD

    21. Thanks for telling me. I think I am going to try scaling up some 1/6 doll patterns, hoping it will work the same.

    22. Good luck!

    23. Thanks, I'll need it.

    29. Thank you, thank you! Going to use this for my girl.
