Finally gotten a decent pic for this color. I didn't realise that F17-1 was that dark, would have went with F16 instead as the lower percentage mix for VIP if I knew.

Is it only possible to order the pre-order wigs in the colors you like? I'd love to order a normal wig from the 8-9 inch category in the F15/600 mix but not sure if that would be possible...

 

[MENTION=67216]Siara[/MENTION], you can request any wig they have, in any color they have, in various blends (for instance, 60% X/40% Y), with any one of the four bang styles they offer, with the only restriction being that the very smallest sizes can't be made using the heat-resisting fibers. Otherwise, it's generally best to inquire in advance to be sure, but they can generally do most requests I've sent them.

And since I realized I've mainly been talking in this thread, pictures!

All three of my Eds are wearing FMD-1084 in color #144. The Delf on the left has it in size L, the LittleFee in the center in S (with some minor styling), and the MiniFee on the right in the slightly-hidden size "Small M," which is an awesome fit for heads in the MNF-size range, since it preserves the fullness of a larger wig without any fitting problems. That particular wig is also cut a bit longer, to the same length as the standard M (which I also have!)... not that you can really tell in this picture.

The three Jaces match, too; they're all in FMD-1099 in color 4 (custom color request). The Delf on the left is again wearing size L, while the LTF and WithDoll both have size S.

I'll filter in more wig pictures in the future, too, since the vast majority of my dolls are in FMD wigs!

@Siara, for the colors, you'll just have to look at their website. In the Pre-Order section, each wig will have a set of swatches for the main colors available, and several of the "in stock" wigs will also have a color chart of a few additional colors that are available.

As for the bang styles, I don't think they have anything actually posted on their site, but I do have an image they sent me for one of the GOs I was running last year:

Esa's is completely unstyled so far, and customized with the "natural" bang style. She's an AoD mini, and her wig is in the "Small M" style again, which is a great fit. The color for her wig is F16.

Razzy's wig has had the little "ponytail" at the top pulled out, and all the hair pulled back into a new ponytail. It's extremely back-heavy this way, and stays on her head with a magnet tucked under the bangs. This time the wig has its default bangs, and her color is 1B, which is a very nice deep black. This time the wig is a small, since Razzy's head is a tiny little DollPamm head. (I also have the same wig on her LTF self, with the same customization, but the pictures of the larger doll show the wig off better.)

 

Hi everyone! I was just wondering if anyone had wigs in both coco brown and soft brown that they could post some comparison pictures of? I just want to know if there's much of a difference in the two colours, as it's a little hard to tell from the website photos.

I been looking for color 144 wig pics for a while since I can't figure out if it was closer to deep yellow or brown. If anything I was after Luts Sweety gold's shade of blond. If 144 fades lighter in sunlight, I have no issue with that.

And there was mention of the normal fiber being glossier. How glossy is is glossier since I'm interested in color 87 for a short hairstlye and wondering if anyone has pics.

87 is a brighter, more yellow version of blonde, while 144 is a more golden shade. (I also have a girl in 88, which is a very pale white blonde, but I would have to take a new picture of her since I haven't done a proper one since she got her new wig.)

(I also have F16, 4, Coco Brown, and 1B on-hand, and 130, 1001, Baby Pink, and Soft Brown on order.)

87 is a very nice color, definitely close to the shade I'm after. From your picture I don't have to worry about the glossiness anymore.

I notice color 144 seems like the darker/matte version 87. If you have the chance to photograph both together, it would be highly appreciated. I'm leaning towards 87 for the short hairstyle now.

This is 'For You' [FMD - 1037] with Black/Dark green [1B/DF04] streaks that was actually a colouring mistake
(from back before they started mixing colours)



This is the same wig as above, 'for you' but with the correct colouring - Dark green with point colour black (its hard to tell in the picture, but there are little chunks of black in the bangs and in the back)

This was one of the in-stock ones in the 5.5-5.7 category, [FMDSS M_18] in F7.



I believe this one was a sale wig that came about when FMD was still working on mixing colours? I know its style FMDSS 1093, and it may have gone as the name 'apple green'.

I also have 'Now to that place' in 600 (off white), innocent girl and Sad love song in F10 (Caribbean blue - though SLS was before they offered heat resist) but sadly no pictures of them.

I gotta say I love the quality of FMD wigs and the fact that you can customize them so much. Nothing irritates me more than finding the perfect wig but finding that it doesn't come in the colour or size you need, but with FMD that isn't a problem.

I think it lacked a bit of the wave shown in the promo pictures, but I didn't try to style it at all so that could be it.

I'd say promo pictures are very accurate for this one.

I just realized I never posted pics of mine! I'll have to do that at some point!! I also got some "hair bleach sets" in a few different colours that I'll have to post.

The dark purple is definitely INCREDIBLE!! I've got some dark purple "hair bleach" clips in my RS Mei's black Monique "Faith" wig, and they look amazing

 

Does anyone own the 1108 wig in Cream blond/cream pink colour? I really like it in the promo pictures but I'm not sure if it will work for the doll I have in mind. I'd be happy to see the model in all colours too.

Also the 1112 I see a couple of posts up that it's not as curly as the promos, has anyone else had this wig? The big reason I like this wig is for the curls in the back and I'm useless at styling so if it's not as curly then I think I'll have to find a different one.

 

I have two dolls in 1108, one in color 88, the other in color 1B. It's quite late here, but I'll do my best to remember to take pictures of both of them tomorrow (they're not "complete" dolls yet, so they don't have much for photoshoots currently).

Okay, I got the pictures, but I kept failing at getting them during daylight (and didn't have a good spot to set them out anyway) so forgive the too-close daylight bulb and the messy workstation. Arthen on the left is in FMD-1108 in 1B, recently arrived, and Prae on the right is the same wig in 88, that I've had for a while now so it's loosened up a bit more from the packaging.

I'm trying to figure out which color of black to choose for a wig. If I recall correctly, mild black was pretty brown right? Is mild black color 8? And then 4 looks like its a little darker, with 1b being very black? Does anyone have comparison shots?

 

Not all the names and numbers match up; I don't think there's an exact numbered match for "mild black," but 4 is close, but a bit darker. Number 8 is "sweet brown," which is a lot lighter, and 1B is a very deep black. I don't have anyone in 8/Sweet Brown, but I do have both 4 and 1B.

I remember getting my mild black wig and being disappointed about how brown it was. I really want a dark black wig, but one that has a natural brown undertone, but no too brown (so picky lol).

 

You're welcome! It sounds like you want HR 4 for your fiber. It's "almost black," a very deep brown that's mostly only distinguishable from black when it's up against something that's actually black (like when I put it in bright light, or the same picture as one of the 1B wigs). And an advantage of how I run my group orders is that I do have a lot of photos of different colors, even if they're not all "show quality." (The disadvantage of the GOs is that I keep finding more colors I want after seeing them in person...)

I am liking Jack's new wig a lot. It's a light blond color mix in person and certain camera settings managed to give it that light-medium gold shade that I was looking for.

 

Guórén's For My Doll wig was bought secondhand, but it's most likely FMDLL-1108 in Deep gray-silver. Photo has been filtered slightly because it would be greatly desaturated otherwise.

Can anybody vouch for their quality as of late? DenverDoll carries them now so I'm interested in buying some. Or does anyone have photos of recent purchases? It's much appreciated.

 

I bought this one in 2021 and some others in the same style, I thought the quality was very nice. The hair is actually a little bit thinned out so it's more appropriate for a doll scale and I liked what I got better than most of my Leekeworld wigs. Hopefully nothing has changed since 2021. Maybe some more complicated styles could be iffy but something simple will probably be good.

 

Some uendited pic of my girl in her For My Doll wig! It's a great wig very soft with no significant flyaway issues. I've had issues with their customer service but the wigs themselves are fantastic. I have 2.
