Just wondering if anyone has used flexivinyl for moulds before? it's a re-meltable hot-pour vinyl compound... thingy. I was thinking of trying it out, but wonder if anyone's had experience with it?
I'm not sure if that would work if it is remeltable. Because resin generates heat as it cures. Maybe enough heat to warp or destroy the mold. But I've never actually cast in resin yet, so I can't say exactly how much heat it produces.
i have no idea about that... but hanano uses something like it I think... you can see his/her works in youtube which is connected to her yahoo jp blog. I think vinamold will be good... although i never used it before because they don't sell them here
hi miss pygmalion, it melts at 150-170 degrees celsius, and is reportedly safe for casting anything up to about 80 degrees. I wonder how hot resin gets? I work in clay and porcelain so I know nothing about it.
