Flat-Face, my secret shame

    1. I always feel really pitiful when I do anthros and tinies. Theres a part of me saying; "what are you doing with your life?! Make something amazing." but the joy I get out of making something so easy and comical balances out all that. :D:D

      Currently got a thing for small fat shameful animals with flat faces (lops, tarsians, Persian cats) might do a series of SHAAAME.

    8. I am in LOVE. I am personally not a fan of flat faced animals (I think its because of having to baby sit one with breathing problems) but this one IS JUST TOO ADORABLE! The cute lil nose!! THE TUMMY! The toes!! I agree with Enaibi, Sign me up for being ashamed!!

      Haha, the place is a dolly graveyard. I need to make a post on General about how seriously dolly making can swamp your life. XD
      Maybe if you finish Omnia the same time as I'm done with Flat-Face, could we meet up to make molds n' such!

      Thanks! Making moulds for balljoints is for smartypants. I'm not too fussy about it being perfectly round. As far as I'm concerned you can make a balljoint by just rolling clay and testing it as you go along as part of your general refining.

      Haha, thanks. I'm glad you like him as you're a lover of anthro dolls too! I'm seriously thinking of casting him. I've had so much fun drawing him that I'd love there to be more.

      BAHAHA! Breathing problems! The more messed up and deformed flat faces are, the better (jk D:). My boyfriend wants a cat when we're older and I tell him that only a really ugly cat will suffice. I won't buy the super deformed ones but as close as I can get without it getting cruel. Is it just me or does everyone here want a flat face doll?

      MASSIVE nostalgia! I liked Suppy way more than Kiro. I want to draw butterfly-panthers all day now. :XD

      I want this cat to be FAT. Totally. Kankles n' all. The total oposite to those push-over-pipos. :XD

      BWAHA! I Google'd Precious Moments and nearly threw up. They're so creepy! I've seen them before on sow-on patches or greetings cards and the like. The head proportions are prettymuch the same as those and just have to be that way if you're doing cute small things.

      I've only just gone and chopped it up though >.>
      He's going to be jointed at the hip so that his ribs are in tact and you get more belly fat exposure.

      It's on the list ;)

      Here's some concept stuff while Flat-Face is in drying- mode. I became quite obsessed one night. Kept looking at pictures online of the nastiest kitties and the smallest bug-eye'd baby flat faces. Just out of no where. I guess that's how spinsters start. But I'll channel it!

      Here we go, the best I can do at night time on short notice. Not much to report; legs on, belly on waist, arms cut up. When the arms are on I'll give my last update before the slow and tedious grind to perfection. His legs are so fat that he's got troubles sitting but it can be fixed with patience :XD Also, you have not seen his fat poofy tail yet :D

    40. Haha, it'll be Lord Tubbington, sidekick to my vulgar well-endowed SD. I never planned for them to be even vaguely in the same universe but now I'm inspired to make them a pair. :XD Thanks for the idea!

      As soon as I saw "A Fat Dollfie" I laughed. I never knew this was a thing. I'll do my best to give the world a sturdy fattie doll.

      I'm also thing of making different faces now. A Cheshire would be great ( I think I could make fab new take on it), and so would a cyborg cat and perhaps different species. If anyone remembers Tsarmina from the Redwall books, she'd be great fun to make; a spiteful slinky tabby cat with long grabby claws.

      About DoA, not sure... They do allow anthro dolls if they have human characteristic (like being bipedal); such a Cheshire has even more human characteristics than a usual anthro cat. So the only reason I would see why it could be forbidden there could be the atypical aesthetic (meaning "not typical for asian ball-jointed dolls"). But one never knows in advance ^^

He still has a very asian aesthetic imo, but DOA has turned down other dolls I feel to have the same quality/style.

      Wait.. you don't like the pipo's cheshire? I don't care for the first one, but I totally fell in love with the toothy open eye version and have been kicking myself for not buying a fullset ever since ;; *sigh*

      Not the end of the world to not get on DoA. As long as the whole doll can be on there, just not that head version. Also I think it's a little backwards that they would shun a doll for trying expand on the set abjd aesthetics. We'll see.

      Nothing against Pipos really, haha. I think they're great, just that the Cheshire in my head was always a stranger you're not really sure whether to completely trust or not.

      Nuuu! Friendly cat is still about. He's just taking a break, not dead! The headback fits both faces. Might even try out a few more!

      Ibrevner: The hands are fimo puppen. I'm making a set of harpies soon - Non-bjd, thankfully :XD

      Arms are getting done slowly. I was a div and decided to just round off the edges off the top of the forearm and put a slot in it. Goes to show that doing things properly first time around SAVES TIME. >.>

      In fact I've been preparing him for casting. He'll be done tonight.

      I turned 20 on Monday and felt a sudden rush of mustworkharder syndrome and I spent all yesterday and the day before on a pack of noodles, 6tsp of coffee a day, working like a crazy fool.

      A new face has also been made. :3 I'm sure if you like Cheshire and original flat face, you'll love his grumpy face. I'll try to make him a butchers knife and a knife wielding paw. This will open up oportunities for nastier weapons or maybe just a fish lollipop.

      I'll give details of his height and other specifications later tonight.
