Hello! I'm new here but I'm having some issues that I'm hoping someone can help me with. I just started casting my own resin dolls and everything is going okay expect I'm having a real issue with my acrylic finishing spray rubbing off. I'm using MR Super Clear UV cut and it practically rubs off with a brush from my finger. I tired scubbing my parts with dishwashing soap, ajax, and acitone and it doesn't seem to make a difference. I have had dolls cast by Jpop/BJDChina/Weiju and they hold the spray beautifully. I'm using Smooth-On Smooth-Cast® 326 resin and tinting with the Smooth-On dyes. I'm not sure if it's the resin or if it's my spray but something isn't working for me. Any advice or recommendations for another brand of resin that holds MSC well would be greatly appreciated. thank you! Joshua View attachment 541 View attachment 542
'And all your parts ave this same problem? I use Smooth On also (various version) and have never had this issue. I'm curious to see what other have to say.
I'll try to test spraying some Smooth-Cast 326 today, but I doubt the resin itself is a problem. You said you scrubbed the parts.. but the only thing I can think of would be release agent still on the plastic.
