Modification First mod project complete! Horns, elf ears and facial reconstruction

    1. This is my Angel Studio Cain boy, Alexander. I modified pretty much his entire face, added horns and elf ears. Crit on both the mod and the faceup would be appreciated :) Thank you!

    3. I started to type about how awesome the horn texture and blending came out, but then I kept scrolling and saw how much MORE work had been done on the rest of the face!

      Super smooth mod transition to the point that I didn't realize his mouth/nose/cheeks/eyes/brow-ridge had all be touched by just looking at the initial images. And then on top of that perfect resin matching done over the mods. Wonderful wonderful job!

I worked really hard on the blending though, so I'm glad you can't tell by just looking at him. Though I am worried about the mouth and nose not really looking like I changed anything from before I started... The horns were actually a last minute thing, and strangely turned out to be the most notable mod lol

    5. I'm admittedly a newbie who doesn't yet own a doll, still, so I don't know if I'm supposed to be shooting my mouth off in this thread;
      But I'd like to think I still know good and bad regardless, and this is a gorgeous and wonderfully done modification. :D Also a very lovely face-up!

    6. Wow, you really got the mods to blend absolutely perfectly into his resin!!! He is beautiful, I adore the combination of old scarring and fresh blood spatter. He had a great sense of melancholy in his expression despite his very stern brows. Great job all around!!!

      A small feedback on the face-up. I'm not sure if it's a trick of the light or his blushing, but there is a yellowish spot on both his temples right at the end of his eyebrows? It just looks a little off to me, like an old bruise, but not blushed quite right.

    8. Thank you! And looking at it now I agree with your bit about the yellow on the temples. It was supposed to be gold spots to match his horns, but they do look more like old bruises. I may go over them next time with a painted tattoo of some sort or push the bruise idea further, like he's growing new horns there.

    18. In my opinion some places on his face will look better with more precise sanding like ears and I think some more places on his skin
      I really love his horns and eyes shape , I also like the make up :) this colors are great and eyebrows:love
      I don't like the nose, I m not sure what is the problem here maybe too strong shading ?

    19. I would have never guessed the mouth was modded! Though I do agree what more precise sanding may have helped areas (the eyes and ears), I kind of dig the texture around the horns. It's not smooth, but I think it adds to the transition from skin to the horns?
