Esthetics First manicure attempt

Conquered my fears this weekend and gave the girls a manicure! I'm still in the newbie phase of being scared of "hurting" my dolls by doing anything, but am trying to get over it, haha. I used acrylic paint and paintbrushes from Walmart and some leftover gloss sealant from Michael's that I had from doing Pullip faceups. So this was also a budget project, lol. I think it turned out okay though! The pink paint is kind of crunchy looking even though I tried to thin it, but not enough for me to bother redoing it.



Highly recommend to anyone who's nervous to just try it! Until it's sealed, the acrylic paint just wipes right off so it's actually really simple. (I used the gloss sealant on their nails first, then paint, then more gloss. I might even do another layer of gloss at another point just to really smooth it out.)

It was really simple, a small brush (but a dense one, if that makes sense) and a spot light were the biggest help. Although I did sort of wish I had a jeweler's loupe, just because the nails on the white body were kind of hard to see, lol. You should go for it!!
